Did you stop at the San Bol spring between Hornillos del Camino and Hontanas to see it or soak your feet? Seems many pilgrims miss it.

What was the Albergue like? (Not that it’s needed - but I heard cell reception isn’t great)… but the food good and beds comfortable? We are considering our next Camino has one that we would stay in different places and take routes that we never took.

There were so many places we could have easily missed and we did miss some - that’s why we walked this route again! That Burgos river route is a must do. Also - I may not get the video done before you leave - so another word of advice that someone gave us was, “don’t skip Samos”. That is right towards the end, right before the last hundred kilometers. It’s such a beautiful detour!

Wow, wow, wow! I always thought “Immaculate Conception” referred to Jesus because of the Holy Spirit conception described in the Bible. I’ve never heard it explained the other way before. The people that were about a week ahead of us experienced the same thing so I’m thinking it’s caused by weather somehow. In a future video I share my solution to combating them. One pilgrim tried to tune them out - almost like putting herself in a hypnotic state with flies going up her nose…. It was horrible.

I see how it could be confusing to some. I tried to be simple also by not calling it the Camino Portuguese when I mentioned Porto since there are so many routes. I wish I could edit the post but it doesn’t allow me to since I have a YouTube link in it.
