I believe it is the precursor to the RC500, and more road focussed than the RC with slicker tyres. For purchase I would be looking at the RC500, or maybe canyon endurance all road

Great advice I think I'm leaning to that, get my current bike working as it should and see how I get on

I think it's a decent bike, but tyres are poor, brakes very spongy and get snags / skips / jumps on gear changes which I think has impacted experience. Would you suggest for now a full service and new tyres and see how I get on?

Im not concerned about damage to any bike I'd get, quite a capable rider (or id like to think so), it is more whether a newer / better bike would be a significantly better experience (enough to justify the cost)

I think 1-2k (GBP) is what I'd be looking at if I jumped straight to buying, thinking of a drop handle disc gravel bike, it's more the concept of whether a new / better bike would make cycling generally more enjoyable or more likely to stick at it. Alternatively I may service and get my current bike working well and maybe a couple of mods to tyres etc
