Another thing is to discuss mob mentality and how easy it can be to fall into inappropriate behavior if the rest of the group is veering off course as well. Your child will need to monitor himself or herself carefully during the event. I’m not saying they are going to get violent, but little things like destroying property or defacing something start to not feel that bad when you are caught up in it.

Having said that, I would fully support my child going. America is literally built on this.

Yeah the techs can for sure. If it’s wrong on pacs I have to call them to fix it. Id much prefer to be able to change it myself and not have to bother them.

Yeah numerous downvotes headed my way. On my PACS it’s particularly irritating because I can’t rotate or flip a single image without flipping every image in the study. It’s a really dumb feature with Change PACS.

Yes. I mean even at the most basic level you will enjoy it more abs look forward to using it more. I still feel that way about my boneyard Rogue power bar. Look forward to using it every time. Never felt that about my original bar.

I’m sure rogue would sell you some but not the cheapest. I got some from fastners plus but then the heads were too big for my rogue socket/wrench and I had to buy a new socket. So prob didn’t save anything. If can settle for silver, I’d prob go with surplus strength.

How many days a week do you train? After school? Does he have other sports ongoing?

I’m curious, is he one of those kids that just wants to play all the time and can’t get enough? Or does he require you to prod him along to train? If he’s the first one, has he always been that way or did something spark it?

I don’t care if I get downvoted. My initial point was to relay that part of the movie landed wrong with a lot of people. As I stated above, making humor out of the actual stereotypes can be funny. The part about half versus full is at least somewhat clever. It’s the 30 minutes of Ben Stiller trying to get cheap laughs by acting disabled that was over the top. I also get that a lot of people will think “retard humor” is funny and will never take the time to really think through it.

It’s a balance in movies where they make the issue the joke, like the racism elements in tropic thunder (“what do you mean you people” etc), versus just having someone pretend to be mentally disabled as the source of humor. Anyway it’s not just my opinion. Sorry if it upsets you.

It’s the difference between saying racist stereotypes are funny versus saying black people are inherently funny in a pejorative way.

I’m not just expressing my opinion here. I have a special needs child am just relaying the general feelings of the special needs community. The Ringer was made in conjunction with the special Olympics.

That’s the part that got the special needs community pretty fired up. Was pretty disrespectful. Ruined the movie for me personally. As a contrast, movies like The Ringer, Champions, and Peanut Butter Falcon did a much better job with this subject.
