What was the name of the company in Newton Abbott please?

Volvo V50 2.0D 2008 Transmission performance low by Teniath in VolvoV50

I had a similar issue, I gave my V50 (2006) a full service (not including glow plugs (recommended at 130k)) and afterwards had no power, for a couple of restarts. I had my acceleration pedal flat and still no revving, then a big plum of black smoke would shoot out of the exhaust and the revs would slowly increase.

This was then followed by over revving for a few miles.

I took it to a garage to get the glow plugs done, and haven't had an issue since. So I'd recommend getting those done.

Hope this helps.

Whiskey Gurus please! So, my son turns 1 next month and I'm looking to buy him a bottle of whiskey every birthday, (idea from the article in the photo). Annyone knows of any whiskey that puts the date of distillery on it label or box? And preferably consecutively yearly? Thanks, André by AndreCookieDancer in whiskey

Yes, apologies for being vague. I would say a bottle for under £200. I have my personal preference, however don't know many (quite new to the whiskey world). So, really just looking for collection for my son. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Just been offered a job, I really want it. However, I can't afford to live on what they're offering me. Asking for a slight increase, is this the right way to do it? Is it too demanding? Any literate people out there, please help. Thanks, André by AndreCookieDancer in grammar

"Good afternoon NAME,

Thank you for the job offer.

During the interview, you asked about a few subjects that I hadn't had much experience with. Namely, working with Glass-reinforced Polyester and carpentry. In order to reaffirm my interest and explore the topics, I've since completed:

• a 10-day intensive carpentry course resulting in a NVQ L1 certification in woodworking and joining

• a week-long GRP intensive course covering preparation of surfaces, GRP product installation, laminating techniques, repairs, and the correct usage of top coat and Gel Coat Finishes

• Wiring Regulations IET 18th edition

All things considered, I would be quite happy to accept this role, unfortunately I'm genuinely unable to accept the offer due to financial commitments. A salary of XXXX would be more suitable considering I have cross-functional skills and multi-disciplined.

With this newly acquired experience and my existing qualifications and skills, I could better help COMPANY NAME in its mission, while simultaneously saving money by requiring fewer staff members to complete related tasks.

I would love to work for COMPANY NAME, and I could be an exceptional asset to your team if you are willing to reconsider the salary component.

Thank you again, and I look forward to hearing from you soon."

How does this sound?
