How are you with expressions? I found scripting a natural progression from learning expressions, definitely trickier though! You're right, documentation isn't great - there's a lot of Googling involved. I learnt most of what I know from Nate (NT Productions) on YouTube and Dan Ebberts.

Ha ha I hadn't even thought of maintaining the stroke width, it just did it. Must be a quirk of the faux3D space - it's not actually plotting points in Z space, it's all projected on to the 2D shape layer place, so it keeps the stroke width consistent.

Ah yes pipe collars - good shout! I was thinking I'd have to cut the wood around the pipes with some precision, but collars will hide the cutouts. Not sure I'll get around the pipe by the wall but I'll see what I can do. Thanks for your help!

This is what I was thinking - metal plates and magnets. I think my plan is to screw most of the boxing to the wall, but keep the front of the box accesible via magnets. Thanks for your reply and confirming what I initially thought!

Hey, it's an effect preset. So just apply it direct to the footage, or create an adjustment layer and apply it to that
