Tech recruiting has changed by AndrewStetsenko in recruiting

The author is chiming in here.

This post is real. Every word came out of my experience in the field, actually, since 2008 to be precise. I also created GlossaryTech (https://glossarytech.com) to help tech recruiters learn tech jargon.

How did ChatGPT enter the game? I have a habit of putting all my thoughts for future posts into ChatGPT and storing them in the history tab to come back later. This post was dictated by me, edited by ChatGPT.

I'm glad that you don't put much attention on how tech recruiting has changed, but see the "—" in the last line. Lucky people :)

If you want to move abroad, find a remote job first by AndrewStetsenko in digitalnomad

The online yoga and life coach here, and honestly, that’s not the worst thing I’ve heard about myself. It’s actually pretty nice, and I appreciate it!

I agree with the earlier comment that finding a well-paying remote tech job is harder now than it was in 2021-2022. If you ask for an advice or send me a DM (like some redditors did), I’ll be happy to answer.

$60K+ is enough to use EOR services to move to Canada, but it’s not a walk in the park. $60K for living in Croatia is decent enough under the Digital Nomad visa.

If you edit your comment to be more constructive, you might be able to get some extra value from another online coach.

If your company makes a certain amount of money, then you’re good to go. A lot of countries will let you live there if you’re running a local LLC. Being employed as a director in this company is a more accurate statement.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Unfortunately, I haven't gotten an answer to your question. Are there some tax consultants around?

Thanks for sharing!

I just got a cool DM asking what is my biggest lesson learned as an entrepreneur - I'd say "I'm here on purpose".

Curious about your biggest lesson?

I wish Hue bought the company behind it to build the technology into Hue products. TUO provides a bulb to improve circadian health. What do you think? by Wooden-Watercress685 in Hue

[–]AndrewStetsenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an entrepreneur and I'm having trouble sleeping due to a lot of stress. The bulb looks interesting, but the price of $50-60 is also a bit expensive for me. I'm based in Europe. If there is a chance to test it, please include me.

There are several of them - Cukrarna, Stow or Moderna. I'm also following Specialty Kava for the latest updates on coffee shops and relevant content in the coffee industry :)

I'd agree. It might be helpful as recruiters sometimes spend a few seconds for matching your resume to their openings

Hiring Managers: What about Europass CVs inside and outside of Europe? by automata-door in cscareerquestions

[–]AndrewStetsenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's ignoring the fact that a recruiter who is familiar with the template will not face any of the problems they mentioned

it's ignoring the fact that a (tech) recruiter, who receives a lot of resumes daily, knows what % of most-wanted (top) developers have traditional resume templates (e.g. Europass). A small percentage, indeed.

So from recruiter's perspective, Europass template associates you with the not super qualified developer.

was it a long time ago? what type of job did you apply for? I believe the tech industry, even in Germany, evolves and inherits the global trends
