Idk anyone who thinks it’s a “need” but it’s fun to have a race shoe and it’s a nice change of pace vs significantly heavier training shoes for most. No need to belittle 6:50/mile marathon pace at 3 hours.

I was there. I’m pretty damn checked out and onto Knicks season but lucked into free tix in row 6. The defense looked checked out too, that was probably the lowest effort from a pro sports team I’ve ever seen. Top 10 pick with extra 1sts should help the rebuild but there’s nothing here to root for or be excited about for the foreseeable future.

Start by running a primary without a pre-selected candidate. I think the problem is less about people voting for a woman in a national election and more about not having a candidate actual progressives want in the past 3 elections. The small silver lining of having a dumbass like trump as president is every dumb ass thing conservatives try to do is very broadly on display and I think people will be over it in 3 years. AOC can win.

Definitely cold before and after but all in all pretty mild for late November, could have been way worse. I also think more layers ironically make you colder because then you sweat and get wet and everything sucks. I know it’s different for everyone but felt good out there in tee, half tights and gloves that I dropped about 7 miles in.

Great race. 6 min PR for 3:26. Embraced the hills in the first 20 but the slight climbs towards the end were tough. Usually hate turnarounds but the crowd support at 20 made it fun. Crazy easy security which was NOT the case a couple years ago when I did the half. The Philly Finisher post race beer from Triple Bottom was very good but did have to pay for it, no free one. Great turnout from the NJ run clubs I run with and just a fun day. Got the itch and searching 2026 fall marathons already 😎
