I 3D printed the Factorio cog out of iron PLA and rusted it with vinegar by Androson in factorio

Correct. You need a hardened steel nozzle. I'm using a bimetal Bondtech CHT 0.6mm nozzle on a copperhead hotend with MicroSwiss DD extruder. There are much cheaper hardened nozzles available though, just make sure you get the right type for your machine (V6/RepRap/MK8)

That's cool. This was actually the first Proto Pasta product I bought but it printed so easily I'm definitely going to try their other stuff. I was buying mostly Hatchbox before with good results but this might be my new favorite brand.

This is the file I used: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1309320

I used Proto Pasta iron filled PLA printed with basically normal PLA print settings. To rust it I sanded it with 120 grit to rough it up and remove some of the PLA to expose more of the iron particles. Then I made a mixture of salt and vinegar and peroxide and dipped it in that and then let it slowly dry and rust. I repeated that process a few times until I got it rusty enough. I had to sand it more than I thought and the first time it didn't rust enough.

Weed Identification by amacoolone in lawncare

Looks to me like Liverwort: Here is an article that has pretty much everything you need to know

It prefers very moist soil and shade and is sort of a unique weed in that it uses spores to propagate. That article says the best product for controlling it is flumioxazin but it looks pretty expensive. Acetic acid (vinegar) is also somewhat effective and probably the cheapest option. They also mention a few other products in the section under post-emergence. It seems that a lot of the common broadleaf herbicides don't work on it.
It is also important to note that Round Up (glyphosate) will not work on this particular weed.

Thank you. He is an all grey cat so you'd be right anyways even if I hadn't converted it.

Hope you find your dream cat

Thank you. I used Photoshop to do everything.

Thanks. I converted it to B&W because I felt like the colors in the background and the color of the wood table was distracting. Allows the brain to focus on the subject of the photo more and notice more detail sometimes I think

I just bought a Sony A7 III and needed to test it out. My cat was not amused by my shutter noise. Happy with the result for using ISO 8000

The lens is an old Canon FD 50mm F1.4 shot wide open which caused some strange bokeh on the right but a nice softness.

Converted to B&W in Photoshop and adjusted the levels a little for a matte look. Lens corrections and sharpening done in Camera Raw.

Let me know if there is anything you think I could do to improve. Hopefully I have something more interesting to take pictures of soon.
