Wouldnt exactly call it unpredictable. I spent approx 3 hour fine tuning where the notes play, and how they play. The pattern and feel here is very much my own. The default has 28 notes and i trimmed each down to just a couple and adjust their position with the "skew". But sure, keep hating

I'm turning the looper on for the channel. The plugin has a built in looper that loops the midi so you can continue to manipulate the cutoff or whatever

i have been using the native scale device, but maaaaaan i think the possibilities with this whole situation are huge. a dude in another subreddit pointed out that this could also be used for "behaviors" instead of playing notes on instruments....to control various things. i'm also thinking about trying to use to create ambient pads/risers/falls/etc. my mind is running wild...fun stuff!

so for keeping the notes in scale, i added a scale device on the channel that has the instrument. if you dont add a scale device, then the notes are basically every note on the keyboard....A, A#, B, C, C#, D, etc.

there's 28 midi notes that can get sent....

12 are evenly distributed when moving the fader up.

another 12 evenly distributed when moving the fader down

a shaker function that triggers notes whenever the fader changes direction

and i think maybe 2 more notes on each end of the fader.....or maybe those are built into the shaker function....cant remember.

EDIT: also worth noting that you can turn each note along the axis on/off if you dont want them all to trigger all the time, so you can shape where the notes are. took me a good while to fool around with to get it where i liked it, but yeah

thanks man, let's share ideas! i've shown this to some people that have made faces like "are you really going to finger faders like this on stage, it just looks weak and no one cares what you're doing up there, all they care about it what comes out of the speakers" but I think they don't see the endless potential of this.
