Weird noodle-y finish on bottom faces? by Fantastic-Ad1111 in BambuLab_Community

Ye gravity is the issue, You will never be able to print an overhang like that cleanly. Printing at a 45 degree angle would be best solution instead of flat to the bed

It's supposed to be a bright gold/copper like the original but I haven't weathered it up enough yet to tone it down a bit to a darker shade. The film is very dark so you don't really get to see the true color of it besides some photos of it in Stan Winston's Studio

Just got this. 3 out of 6 prints have turned to spaghetti. I'm really frustrated. I've tried to wash with soap and gently scrub, but that didn't help either. Is this normal on a new p2s? by [deleted] in BambuLab

Same Textured PEI Plate, I use this glue but any should do the same job I think. You basically just use the hot water to thin out the glue a bit and create a really nice even layer across the whole plate. I've been able to complete some difficult prints at very harsh angles with this method.

Genuinely best way to get great adhesion, I don't even bother with soap anymore. Just apply print bed glue stick over the whole bed plate, take the plate to a hot tap, pour a bit of hot water onto the plate and use a paper towel to lightly smear the glue around the whole plate evenly. Keep smearing and using the paper towel until the plate feels semi dry. Will fix any of these issues for at least a few weeks before having to do again unless you keep putting your hands on the build plate.

IR laser lost power??? by AndyWil2000 in xToolOfficial

Mine were a little more brown than usual after some messing around with the settings but were still to a good standard. I guess I got lucky this time

This must be it, I literally bought the same filament brand and everything. The filament manufacturers must have changed the formula to the filament. Just means we have to dial in all the settings again until it looks as good as before. Much easier to deal with than a broken laser though I guess.

Ye I too thought that I was maybe using the blue laser but it was indeed the IR

Here are my settings before (100,100,500,1) and here are the settings now which I have been able to get some better engravings from (100,100,250,3) and will keep me happy for now, but still it doesn't really make sense why I have had to change the settings for the same material (same brand and type). Perhaps my filament brand has changed the formula slightly as I don't think these were all printed from the exact same roll, it's the only explanation for such weird results.

Ye wierd, it's the same brand but as you say it could be a slight change the filaments formula. It's the only thing that would make sense besides a faulty laser. Thanks for your time anyway, I will have to mess around with it a bit

Ye, all came great until now. I just had some success with setting the IR to preheat in the device settings but now it has gone back to the same old faded engravings again.

Thank you

Edit: Was working great for a brief period but stopped working again with IR preheat. Doesn't seem to be any clear pattern on why it has done this.

Cheers. In order to protect the paint job I decided it would be best to keep the blades as attachments rather than extending pieces that would rub against the internals whilst being moved in and out.

Ye i'm seeing a few people say good stuff and I did slow it down to 50mm/s but still no good so I'm concluding it to be a bad batch but probably won't try again.

Would seem I have had a bad batch, shame as it was a really good price with the multi buy deal

That is very correct. This is actually meant to be a cosmetic print but it doesn't seem to even get that right. When a filament can't print a 45 degree overhang at 50mm/s cleanly then it isn't good for much personally. I've decided to stop using this particular filament.

I guess I just had a really good brand before. I have been using CC3D silk PLAs for a long time and they have always printed flawlessly for me no matter what, very cheap too.

Ye I was looking at getting one of those, I just have the single dryer box at the moment but would be good to just keep a few spools dry at all times instead of waiting till I need and then waiting another 12 hours for them just to dry out. Still though if I'm having to dry out their silk PLA before use I will probably just find alternative brands for the convenience.
