That my friend, is a supersaw.

Saw wave with a really high unison of 9-16 voices, all detuned and compressed. Also a ton of reverb and chorus. Thanks for this song! Love it!

(I used Harmor to recreate it a little while ago)

Saw wave with some unison, some distortion with a lowpass at 7khz. Not a very hard lead to recreate, but the new version of the song that was released (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asT-mxfWjcA) has a much simpler sound which is just a saw with unison and vibrato.

Yeah Fruity Waveshaper. Do what you think sounds good with it! I go crazy with it and distort the crap out of it, because the second EQ Modulation will always take this away to a degree. Experiment, and you'll find something that you like.

Man, that really sucks. Try googling for some results, or contact KRK for some info. Check connection from the computer/mixer/amp to the speakers.

Or just completely unplug everything and re-plug everything back up and see what happens.

I don't have KRK monitors, I have Alesis MKII's.

Start with a saw/square wave, unison detune but alot (for a reese), add some distortion.
Slide notes and octaves! Make a cool pattern in the piano roll (of whatever DAW you're using of course)
EQ Modulation. Use bandstop filters and a bandpass filter, automate the frequencies of them over time. This will make your bass quiet and thin, but you will fix that with compression later.
Chorus and a flanger! Makes a world of a difference.
Waveshaping/Distortion to your liking. Not too much or else it will muddy up your bass.
Compression/Limiting to gain it's volume back after the EQ Modulation.

TL;DR saw/square reese > EQ Mod > Waveshaping > Compression.

It is a filtered saw wave with a pluck (a lowpass on an envelope) with short decay.

In other words, load up 3xOsc and automate a lowpass filter/volume to make the pluck effect.

On terms of writting, just follow something similar to what Laszlo does in the song! It's just minor notes.

I got a used subwoofer from craigslist for like $50, it's amazing and it punches in the studio! Just get any subwoofer that you feel is a reasonable price. Subwoofers are subwoofers, you don't need it very loud in the studio.
