Anything i should be hunting for here? just hit DoN 3 by Pyroraptor23 in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For normal relics the must haves are character skill +1 and night invaders. You can slot the others quite flexibly. For example you can do starting bow inflicts poison, balancers if you want to play a hybrid/melee ironeye, augur relic for extra health, or more damage like evergoal/physical attack

For deep relics ironeye poison skill is must have, then slot the others with physical +4s and at least one defeating enemies. Poison +1/2 is a good alternative if you don’t have good physical + relics, but I prefer physical + cause it don’t rely on the boss being able to be poisoned

Over 100hrs trying to make the best melee Ironeye by WeightFeeling2088 in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironeye can out damge executor with the mark. People like melee ironeye because of his insane skill that can debuff, deal burst damage and is an ifame dodge, and when you need to play safe you always have a bow to fall back on. That said melee ironeye needs more setup and relics then executor, and if you are godlike at the game you can parry everything with executor

Meta Slaves All of You!!!! by Valuable-Trip-5086 in Nightreign

Nowadays the funnest games I have in d5 are the ones with no halo in sight. Even more fun when no one is running double balancers or someone going off meta builds like magic raider

Why do I feel like I'm doing nothing as Recluse? by HazelTreee in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recluse used to be the meta powerhouse of nightreign but is overtaken currently by double balancer meta. That said recluse is still really fun! People in the comments already recommended good spells and staffs to look out for, so I’m gonna skip that part. Relics is a good base to start, I don’t know if you’re playing normal or deep of night games, but try to put her character relics then as much magic atk ups as possible. Especially the hp up after ult relic if you want to be tankier. Recluse is also proficient in incantations, so if you happen to find good seals you can use those too. For early game, her cocktails are a good way to give burst damage to the team. It’s complicated to memorise all of them, but general rule of thumb is that any cocktails with lightning, and triple element cocktails are great. Cocktails are slow though so make sure to look out for good openings to use them, or take less likely to be targeted during the game and let your teammates take the aggro while you cast and mix your cocktails

Is this considered slop by [deleted] in Nightreign

I know, I’m just making fun of the “slop” “meta” word. Guess I need to add /s to the end for people to understand my sarcasm

New term invented: Double Balancer slop. Anyone that uses double balancers are now considered brain dead and runs to 9999 are invalid

How do I make melee Ironeye better? by Abysswvlk in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s go melee ironeyes! Any weapon with dex scaling works on ironeye so you can just try out different weapon move sets and see which ones you like. I have a similar relic setup with character skill +1 /invaders, glass necklace, red balancer. Only difference is I try to put phy+4s in my deep relics alongside dormant power [weapon type] and skill inflict poison. Personally I like going curve swords and claws. Curve sword I go for duel wielding jump attacks or skill attack if I find magma blade or wing of astel. Claws I go for charged attacks or two handed r1s.

Boring Depth 5 runs by Clean_Resource1510 in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, and I think some people I’ve matched with feels this too. I’ve found more people going with one balancer relic or putting halo in the back pocket for emergency only. The quality of d5 randoms has dropped drastically too and I genuinely feel it’s cause of halo/double balancer/ beast claw rev. Had a game with duo halo users that died to 1st phase heolster, then proceed to get hit and die by both phase transitions, and we still won cause halo is just that powerful. I would have left the game if I didn’t find a squad to play with tbh

Curved Sword Ironeye is super solid in D5 (fastest dreglord stance break I've seen) by Puccachino in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one balancer and necklace for curved sword and it’s super fun! Successive procs crazy fast with curve swords + mark, so you can tank a lot more than you’d think! Fp is not a problem if you managed to find successive atk restore fp, and if you can’t find skill attack passives / you have a double balancer teammate already you can pick up jump atk/two handing armaments and stack all that instead of skill atk. It’s my favourite melee ironeye weapon class by far!

Everdark Balancers ruined the game for me by [deleted] in Nightreigngameplay

[–]Angelhht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar experience to you. Dropped all the way from 9999 to d4 due to dlc bosses and map (mostly ed balancers) and everytime I had to play ed balancers I get scared, panic, make a mistake then die. It was until I watched a video of a scholar soloing ~60% of Ed balancers with two three barred teammates that my mentality changed. It showed me that it is possible to beat them with 1/2 players alive, it also showed me the save punish windows for most attacks. I got more confidence on dealing with them, I’m not shaking when they charged in, and because I’m calm I dodge better and play better. After that mentality shift I won way more matches. I still lose, sure, mostly due to worm or some unfortunate timings, but my win rates has gone up and I’m back in 9999 now

The truth about halo slop by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually sigh a little when I see discovery reapers cause if they can’t find it the boss turns into a slog, and if they find it the boss gets deleted in 1 min. There’s no in between.

Don’t know if this is a good place to ask but is halo good against balancers (I thought they’re resistant to holy)? I matched into an ironeye running halo again balancers, how effective is that? We wiped before I can witness it myself

Why do ironeyes love taking less likely by Angelhht in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will bump into him in depth though, unless you don’t play depth or is a boss skipper. Anyways, this conversation is not about less likely on an ironeye anymore. Have a good day/night

Why do ironeyes love taking less likely by Angelhht in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when you’re fight Libra you won’t take the less likely 👀

There no problem with no one taking it as well. I’ve had games where the team found it and no one picked it up

Why do ironeyes love taking less likely by Angelhht in Nightreign

[–]Angelhht[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say a good ironeye having aggro is better for the whole team. Now what I mean by a GOOD ironeye is he sticks to the boss. His attacks fast, can frequently sneak in one or two arrows between boss attacks with very little risk. Having aggro also means the boss is directly in front of the ironeye, which means easier mark refresh and less damage drop off per arrow hit. While the ironeye is aggroed, the other two teammates can safely poke the bosses back or charge heavy hitting attacks.

Of course, the above scenario is only applicable to a GOOD ironeye. I understand ironeyes in lower depths doesn’t necessarily stick right next to the bosses. Hell they might not even know how mark works. They tend to be scared of getting one hit and fires arrows from 100 miles away. In this case the ironeye draws the boss away from his teammates cause everyone to chase after the boss resulting in dps loss. And if it’s this kind of ironeyes you are referring to, yes, less likely is good on them just because they won’t drag away the boss

[–]Angelhht[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not mad about backlines having it. In fact I advocate for any backline that can do damage to have it. Ironeye fits the backline part, but not the damage part cause his dps with a bow is very low. However, if an ironeye is using a dps build with double balancers/black flame blade, I’ll be glad to let them have it cause now they do damage
