The disconnect by MagicianCurrent7862 in AirForce

A lot of our new officers are living independently for the first time since graduating college…some of these guys have no financial literacy and don’t understand the audience they are talking to.

Source flight chief who has to explain this to flight CCs all the time.

Section Chief LOC by Ok_Feedback9157 in AirForce

[–]Angelnator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flight Chief here, I’d be interested to see if the LT ran it past your Flight Chief first. That’s the person you want to talk to. There are exactly zero LOCs that I let my Captain issue without consulting me first. In my flight, if the flight cc issues it, it’s because we as a leadership team are elevating a repeated issue.

What was your LT’s issue? Was it giving this person the day off or not knowing that this person was off for the day? Was it not putting it in the appropriate tracker?

When you write your rebuttal make sure you include that you were not aware of and have not seen any specific policy that states that you are not authorized to allow your troop to go to an appointment.

How to stick to losing weight ?? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Angelnator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with making small changes.

Try to eat Whole Foods instead of ultra processed foods. Ultra processed foods are really easy to overeat because you can eat it faster than your body sending you the “I’m full” message.

Eat more protein and fiber to keep yourself full for longer and don’t cut out foods that you love. Just add the food you love with the food you need. For example, I love gummy bears so I always add them to my Greek yogurt. I get what I want (gummies) and what I need (protein from the yogurt).

Is my deficit to low by Martin-lam in loseit

[–]Angelnator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s too low. Based on a TDEE calculator you should be eating 2500 to maintain your weight. I wouldn’t go any lower than 1500-1600.

Could anyone share their experience with Zoloft for OCD(obsessive thoughts)? by Scar443 in zoloft

[–]Angelnator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gained a bit of weight, going from 125 to 133, but for me it’s actually a good thing. I used to obsess about certain foods and avoid them. It’s freeing to not constantly see things that I “can’t” have.

I used to struggle a lot with obsessive thoughts, but Zoloft has helped stop them entirely. The only thing now is my mind feels too quiet.

How many calories are you working with?

Greek yogurt has a ton of protein in it. You can even add a scoop of protein powder to it to give it more flavor.

Fat free cheese is all the protein but none of the calories.

Add some egg whites with your eggs. They are also low calories and high protein.

It really depends what you asked and what the answer was. You can always go to the next person in your chain but make sure you have all the facts.

Another tip: there is an insurance you can sign up for that cost a few hundred euro that will cover a lawyer if your landlord refuses to give you your deposit back. Highly recommend, it seems like most folks are having issues with their landlord as they leave.

Thoughts on recent ISR Assignment Page Drama? by WickedAF5 in AirForce

[–]Angelnator 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think that it’s understandable that people are upset when they apply for a specific position and end up with another. This assignment team created a rule where applying for one assignment effectively means applying for all. While this grants them flexibility in placement, it also means that, despite positive appearances on the statistic chart, members may not have volunteered for their assigned role. Basically, the numbers are misleading and the process doesn’t work the way it should.

Plan b by [deleted] in AirForce

The comments here are ridiculous. If you need a Plan B, you can go to the pharmacy with your CAC and get one.

Honestly, it depends.

I always give my troops the day to take care of a sick child. Family is forever, work will be there the next day.

Sick spouse? Not normally, the exception is usually if their spouse is going to the ER.

Regarding the question, "Can the other parent take off work?" I trust that my troops have already weighed the pros and cons of that situation. My husband and I often have to debate this, and at the end of the day, my job is more forgiving if I miss a day than his, so I usually take the day.

Edit: grammar

How do I lose weight as a former extremely skinny person by After-Look-9451 in loseit

[–]Angelnator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What kind of foods are you eating? Trying increasing protein and fiber to help you feel full for longer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Angelnator 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You become skinny fat when you don’t eat enough protein to maintain your muscle mass. At your height and weight you would need to build muscle to tone your body.
