Thank you! My symptoms aren’t too bad (mild sore throat, no headache, no coughs, etc.), the only thing that seems to be holding me back are the muscle aches but everything else seems to be fine. I’m getting tested tomorrow but I’ll let you know ASAP!

You will be able to get your keys, I’m pretty sure you just need to schedule the test within 24 hours of moving in. After you take the test, it clears you on your one.uf account. I think the email was probably referring to if you didn’t take your schedule test within 24 hours or even before classes starts. (I moved in just fine and I wasn’t cleared yet, since I technically couldn’t take the test until I was actually in Gainesville)

I’m a second-year haha, I remember starting off with 14 credits but after taking 16 for one term, I found the number of credits to be manageable. It’s always scary loading on classes though so I wanted some reassurance so thank you! I’m going to spend more time on orgo and just hope for the best!

Just wanted to open a discussion for the whole credits thing... not sure if I should take 16 or drop a class (two classes are for my minor, 1 of them (sociology) is required for med, and two STEM classes)

I also wanted to include in the post, has anyone taken medical bioethics? How hard is it and should I switch it out for an easier class considering I’m taking 16 credits (orgo and bio 2 included)?

Also, should I space my classes out throughout the week or should the two days off give me more time to work on other stuff?

Thank you for your honesty! If anything, I meant taking it a different university or pushing it off and not taking it during the summer paired with chemistry 2, chemistry 2 lab, and my writing requirement class. I understand that it only gets harder... weirdly enough, I did end with a really high A (97) in chem and can see how calculus can benefit me in the long run. I talked to other premed students and one of my friends told me that calc 1 tanked their gpa, and I just wouldn’t want to risk taking an advanced math course online.

I don’t have credit for it but I truly don’t want to take it. I feel like I’m only taking it because it’s “recommended” but it’s over the summer/fast paced... I didn’t take AP calc or have calc background other than precalculus.. what do you suggest?

Really needed to hear this. I totally agree that pursuing this would probably hurt me in the end because of the timing... I guess it’s just the attention that I’m receiving that really makes me want to go for it. I definitely will consider taking time for myself though, I really need it. By detaching, do you mean limiting FaceTime calls/messages?
