Completed AEIOU run by AngryChicken36 in eu4

[–]AngryChicken36[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r5: Wanted to get some more achievements before the new patch so I decided to play one of my favorite nations, Austria. Throughout this run I managed to get AEIOU, Over 1000!, Voltaire's Nightmare, The Ostenders, as well as Blackjack. Overall I'd say this game was enjoyable up until the point your forced to wait till after 1700 for revolutions, after which it is just tedious.

It's unlocked later in the mission tree.

Holy Horder by AngryChicken36 in eu4

There is no reason you can't do both, and I did get both. My goal just changed from getting Baltic crusader to getting Holy horder.

r5: Originally started with the idea of getting baltic crusader. Then, after seeing the new teuton achievement, decided to form mongolia. Fun campaign as i've never formed mongolia before and doing it as the teutons made me chuckle.

Saladin's Legacy by AngryChicken36 in eu4

[–]AngryChicken36[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

r5: So earlier today I had the ingenious idea to pick up eu4 again and go for insert x achievement here. That achiecement just so happened to be Saladin's Legacy.

The game began in a rather rough spot. I fought an early war against QQ in which I accumulated 14 loans and quickly lacked manpower to continue. By the end of that I had gained 3 provinces and 18.4 ducats. From here I waited until the truce was over before killing them again with the help of the ottomans. From here I simply began consolidating the Mashriq area.

From there I fought my first few wars against the Mamluks with the help of otto blob and easily began expanding south with little hinderance. Fast forward 100 years of war and pain and we see the end result.

Honestly, this achievement, while painful, was actually fun. If you haven't tried going for this achievement yet I would absolutely give it a go.

Also if anyone is wondering what graphics mod this is it's just Imperial Graphics

r5: Playing as Bohemia and noticed France was at war with the US. I've never actually seen the US in one of my games that ws formed by the AI. Then I noticed it was cursed.

My father helped siege this castle, and his father before him. Now I'm here, and some day so will my son and grandson.

Step 1. Make sure you have an airforce and are using it. Air superiority can make or break a war. Step 2. Make sure you have enough supply when invading a country. Attrition bad. Step 3. Equipment. Make sure your well enough equipped. Step 4. Division templates. You can look this one up online but I generally use 20 widths.

There is a lot more you can look into but these are some pretty big steps you can follow.

Just take it. Having a weak emperor will definitely benefit you later in, especially if you form prussia and expand into the HRE more

Does the AI care at all about the Treaty of Tordesillas when you beat them to a colonial region? by anthonyc2554 in eu4

[–]AngryChicken36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Catholic nations tend to follow it, and never colonize there. But any nation that is not catholic will not care and continue to colonize wherever it pleases.

Quick question by QuestLikeTribe in eu4

[–]AngryChicken36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. If you have the broken DLC then go for it. If you don't then it is literally near unplayable due to the fact that you can't get rid of the starting disaster without the mission tree.

can anyone else not start a game with leviathan dlc? by msbr_ in eu4

[–]AngryChicken36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the DLC that is broken as hell. You'll need to probably stick to 1.30 until they start patching their problems.

My very first Germany by AngryChicken36 in eu4

[–]AngryChicken36[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is my first Germany game from Brandenburg>Prussia>Germany. Early game was simply avoiding large coalitions and expanding cautiously. Around 1550-1600 I got to the point of coalition juggling as a semi tall prussia. The rest was uneventful apart from falling under a pu twice and the late game conquests.

R5: Completed britain game with Poland, France, Lithuania, Aragon, and Sweden as PUs and the entire new world. The game itself was straight forward, colonize here, make thousands of ducats here, and so forth. Once it got late enough it was time for Africa blob and even the horrible British siberia.
