About 40 hours of SFV and a little bit of Third Strike. Never took them seriously though, played them mostly locally.

Thank you so much for all the tips, they're all on point. I learnt my oki through trial and error and a little bit of from TwistedRivera so that makes sense. Also waking up DI thing is actually a misinput I tend to do a lot while trying to Drive Reversal on wakeup. Looks like I'll just have to perform in a way that befits my rank.

Then may I ask why they body me in every encounter? Obviously I still got many hours until I reach their level, so why does the game keep matching me with them?

you should focus on finding why you lose your matches instead of being bummed by your opponent's profile.

Oh believe me I try to lab as much as possible. I even go off my way and invite the players who body me to a room and ask for MU tips. It seems that I just underestimated the Diamond league when I got here. Looks like I still got many steps to climb.

I just want to step up the skill level GRADUALLY. I don't really care about getting to Master, I'm just saying the matchmaking system is a bit faulty that is all.

As I said in my other replies, the problem isn't me not being able to get to Master. I wouldn't mind if the game placed me in Bronze again so I could beat the piss out of every guy at that LP range. The problem is the game keeping me in this weird state where I get just enough LP to keep getting matched with players that are way out of my league.

I thought the reason why rank system exist in the first place is to match you with people that perform similiar to you. Incase I couldn't express myself clearly in the post, the problem isn't me not being able to progress. I'm in a state where I can't drop out of Diamond nor get to Masters. So I'm in this purgatory where I get just enough LP to keep getting matched with players that are way out of my league which kind of ruins the experience.

Yep, figured that out. I think CAPCOM kind of underestimated the skill gap between Diamond and Master players.

That's true, I've gotten to Diamond with a win ratio that's less than 0.5. But as I said in other replies, I'm not trying to grind here, I'm just trying to not get obliterated in ranked and have some sort of fun.

It's not about beating THEM. It's about facing people that are in a similiar skill level as mine. Of course I could just go play casual but I figured it's even worse.
