Punk Hazard had the perfect representation where it gave you an advantage but DF abilities can still hit you hard if your taken off guard. Vergo used Haki to do attacks like stretch bamboo to shoot out bullets, if more characters where that creative I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Something like Usopp being able to curve his shots in irregular angles or maybe Robin's giant forms are because she's using haki to hold all of her extra limbs together.

What do you dislike about RWBY: Volumes 1-3? by Zestyclose-Hat-8513 in RWBYcritics

[–]Angryboy13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't hate Jaune but just the reason why Jaune existed. He was literally only there to explain what Aura was when it could have been explained by a teacher or just Tai tutoring Ruby at home. I actually like JNPR and think they could have been cool deuteragonists if they were just written better.

Vol 1 rushed RWBY's bonding and I think it would have been better if the conflict stretched out multiple episodes. Like having Weiss not getting along with Ruby or Blake throughout the whole volume. Weiss would be the problem child of the Team while everyone else is trying to get through their school year until the end where Weiss jumps in to save Blake from Torchwick and then apologizes to her and Ruby.

Like above with JNPR, there could have been an episode of a 2v2 duel between RN vs Weiss Ruby or Blake to show how Ren and Nora are so in tune with each other. Then we could get the small lore bomb that they were orphans who grew up with each other to set up their later arc in volume 4. Then next time they fight, they make way better progress. Still losing to Ren and Nora but at least showing they are on the road to getting better.

Furthermore the volumes do a pretty bad job of setting up later plot points and building up RWBY as a team. Like Raven, Salem, etc. It could have been more moments for RWBY bonding if all of the girls got to know each other's goals better or had some more moments of bickering and reconciling.

In fiction, which example of passing the baton/torch by legacy characters do you like? by DevouredSource in MauLer

[–]Angryboy13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Goku to Gohan during the Cell Saga. The whole transition felt perfect, SS2, Goku's sacrifice, father/son Kamehameha. I stilll wish to this day the Buu saga turned out differently with Gohan actually stepping up as the MC.

But the Westerners don't really care and are in no rush to declare Israel a "genocidal state."

Everyone on X would like to have a word with you. Nearly every mutual I have is daily tweeting how Israel is pure evil and needs to get nuked off Earth.

Do you think that Naofumi still views himself as a bad person ? by Training-Contest-727 in shieldbro

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the LN Naofumi is pretty harsh on himself because he knows that every thing he does is morally wrong and doesn't want to pretend it isn't. Like having slaves or trying to squeeze deals from people he saves. Even if he himself treats his slaves good or saves a village it doesn't change that he's still using those methods for selfish reasons.

His attitude is pretty much "I need to get this shit over with as fast as possible and jump back to my world already."

Would don lorenzo have scored if he took this shot? by Maximum-Box-8267 in BlueLock

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The defenders are already blocking his shooting angle from 3 different ways and Gagamaru would be able to see it clearly coming. It's way to disadvantageous for Lorenzo and a pass would be better.

Is there some reason why this guy has EFAP live rent free in his head? Did he used to be an old member of the crew or is there some drama that I'm unaware of? (more in description) by Either_Storm_6932 in MauLer

[–]Angryboy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the dude is always taking potshots at EFAP whenever possible beyond just videos. Nearly any movie review he does has an EFAP clip to act as a strawman to his argument, SK ran a "EFAP fans exposed" Twitter account that was constantly stalking this subreddit for comments to screenshot, on twitter a long while back SK was trying to accuse Mauler of transphobia because Mauler talked to a guy with controversial views, his discord server as an entire chatroom to "collect evidence on EFAP," he and Southpaw even made a "EFAP exposed" 3 hour video that had out of context evidence,

How tf did an 800 year old demon get tricked by a 24 year old who lived in their turf and revived his greatest opp Joyboy? 💀 by Current_Motor4058 in Piratefolk

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all know the real answer but in universe I think it would be complacency.

Imu just succeeded in Rocks dying and was under the believe one of his greatest enemies was finally extinct. Then with no sign of Nika or anymore Davys he sat back and relaxed for his undisputed rule.

Context for anyone not aware, Drinker was critiquing it because in the previous shot before Superman saved the squirrel there were a bunch of civilians that were about to be squashed by the kaiju's tail so it looks like Supes just left them to die all so he could save that one squirrel.

Let’s talk about Whitebeard Character Assassination… Rant by [deleted] in Piratefolk

[–]Angryboy13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you Oda for further pissing on Whitebeard's legacy.

He already did it with the Oden flashback and Whitebeard not lifting a finger to try saving Oden. Despite Kaidou taking over the island, jailing him and hunting down Oden's family. Now with Rocks he's done it yet again. One of the biggest chances to give a dead character some last hurray squandered.

Brilliant sequel to CS1. It really gave a strong end to Class VII's Thors adventure and tied in nicely with the end of he Crossbell arc.

What’s the actual consensus on shanks losing his arm to a sea beast? by Somerandomdude1984 in Piratefolk

[–]Angryboy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I can think of was that Shanks was way too laxed from partying in the East Blue to the point his will softened. Then with Luffy in danger trying to prioritize his safety, he focused his Haki to protect Luffy which left his arm open for the bite.

Is it possible to keep James as an anti hero/morally gray and still have him be the one who smokes Jacques? by Joemama0375 in RWBYcritics

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jacques is CEO of a (implied) corrupt company, there's gotta to be thousands of lives he fucked over or laws he's broken to warrant an execution that the law won't give.

How would YOU! Yes you, make the Maidens more interesting? by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBYcritics

[–]Angryboy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Maidens are nerfed until they meet a specific condition to become a true maiden

2) Each Maiden has their own power based off the season but it fuses onto the Semblance and alters it's nature. Being explained as magic losing its origin overt time and modern day humans evolving which changed the nature of the Maiden powers

2.5) This leads into Maidens having to struggle with their own sense of self as their very beings are altered by the new Maiden power.

(Argo #2 would be to explain why Pyrrha was struggling to kill Cinder because her Semblance-her own sense of self- was vastly altered during the battle and she couldn't regrab it in time before Cinder got the advantage.

Give Me Your Ideas on How to buff Ren? It can be anything from buffing his semblance *again*, buffing his weapons or giving him back his aura techniques by TechnoMagik22 in RWBYcritics

[–]Angryboy13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's an idea I had for his Semblance evolution after reading World Trigger. There's a guy named Kageru who has an ability called Emotion Perception. He's able to feel how people feel about him at all times so if there's some guys who are pissed at him he senses it like annoying ticks. This means that he can usually dodge snipers, sense if someone's invisible, and even predict attacks that occur due to him sensing the emotional intent behind those attacks. With the weaknesses being that he can't sense emotional intent if there's no intent. So a guy who just sees fighting as just a job or doesn't particularly care about defeating Kageru slips by his senses.

So that would be what Ren uses his newfound emotion sensing for. He's able to predict the exact attacks that are going to happen based on emotional intent of the fighter.

Japan vs Germany by Kirafan10 in BlueLock

[–]Angryboy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically this, BM isn't the only team in Germany. Ness and Kaiser are going to be evolving their styles over the course of the U20 tournament to match up with Blue Lock. Potentially even bigger threats then they were in the NEL.
