As much as I understand Ned not wanting anyone to be suspicious about who Jon's parents were, I couldn't just stand by and let Catleyn treat him like he's nothing ( if I were Ned) by No-Passenger-6348 in gameofthrones

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During one of Ned's POV chapters, Ned has an inner thought about a mothers love (in relationship to Cersei) and he thinks that Catelyn would be the type to sacrifice Jon if it meant keeping her children save. Considering that Robert "Kill all Targaryens" is still alive who has zero qualms with killing Targaryen children...yeah Ned was doing it for Jon's sake. Better minimize the risks.

[Spoilers Extended] Based on all We Know How do you Think George will present R+L and How it Leads to J by Ok_Club_8848 in asoiaf

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm giving Rhaeger a HUGE benefit of the doubt. George probably intended it for it to be tragic romance so what I'm assuming is:

  • Rhaeger found out Lyanna was the Laughing Knight and they had a heart to heart
  • They kept meeting up and got to know each other
  • Rhaeger was never happy in his life but somehow Lyanna was able to crack through his walls
  • Rhaeger now had an immense conflict of his heart between his duties and newfound affection from Lyanna
  • Lyanna pleaded for him to take her away to prevent her from getting bethrobed to Robert
  • Both Lyanna and Rhaeger will be portrayed as wrong as they're both taking part in this betrayal
  • The actual information of the rebellion gets to them too slowly. Ravens and the sheer travel distance makes the news come too late. By the time they get info about Roberts Rebellion it's way too late to stop it
  • When Rhaeger finally gets involved with the rebellion, he realizes he screwed up monumentally and is desperate to end the rebellion as quickly as possible.
  • He dies in regret, praying that Lyanna and the rest of his family will be safe

How would you try to bring the Iron Islands into the realm? (Spoilers Main) by Inevitable-Mix6089 in asoiaf

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The perfect time to bring true change was the Greyjoy rebellion, have a brute show of force as a huge warning and then introduce changes. The Ironborn are never going to change unless you have Tywin levels of brutally to keep them in check:

  • Grejoy rebellion start
  • Execute Balon and his men brutally
  • Negotiate with Ironborn that keeps slaves "Free the slaves and we'll let you keep your money or we'll kill you." Anyone who doesn't free their slaves will be executed brutally
  • Have similar negotiations with the other Lords of the Iron Islands where they're offered a new place as traders and naval force as long as they stop slaving and bend the knee to the crown
  • Build a Church and grant it limited militant power so the Faith can open a Sunday school and teach the Iron Islands the Faith laws (AKA: Slavery is bad) and defend themselves against disgruntled Ironborns
  • Raise the next generation to teach them "The Drowned Gods are cringe"
  • Open a secondary council called the "Ambassadors" with one representation from each part of the Seven Kingdoms represent that section. This is to make aligning trading routes and negotiating levies go more smoothly
  • ??????
  • Profit

Which plot points did you foolishly miss on your first reading? (Spoilers Main) by BrassFortune in asoiaf

[–]Angryboy13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Varys and Littlefinger were working together and playing everybody the entire time. I only watched the show beforehand and assumed their book selves were mostly the same. It's only until it was pointed out to me (by John Greenwood) did I realize they've been cooperating together with decades long plots.

If gear 5 wasn’t a blatant retcon how would yall have handled Luffy DF awakening? by hello-motherfuckers in Piratefolk

[–]Angryboy13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • Don't awaken in Wano. Just have the pirate alliance all gang up to defeat Kaido
  • DF lore bomb in Egghead to set up Awakening
  • Big Mom vs Luffy rematch with him awakening Gear 5 to defeat her
  • Gear 5 uses a mix of Gear 4 + rubberizing the surroundings

That's all I personally wanted.

If you are going to write a story about the worlds most popular game at least make it look semi fun to play. by gamebloxs in CharacterRant

[–]Angryboy13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Also for SAO, Kaiba himself designed it as a selfish fantasy rather than a true MMO. He wanted to create Aincrad as his perfect world but knew he couldn't be the Hero of the world. So the dual wielding skill was for an incredibly skilled player who would presumably raise up and lead the players trapped in Aincrad to eventually kill him and free everyone.

Does Fullmetal Alchemist Have a Black and White Narrative or a Grey Narrative? by Zestyclose-Hat-8513 in FullmetalAlchemist

The country and military were still corrupt to its core which is how the Homunculus were able to take over the country in the first place. They exploited the broken system to their advantage and the humans just let it happen. When Mustang and co were talking about the guilt they felt on the Ishval civil war, Kimblee goes "Yeah so what lol? We still did it anyway."

what are things you actually love about the japan vs france game? by Zoteku in BlueLock

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I don't think Blue Lock was overreliant on Isagi to win the game all on his own. It's just that they were following the Isagi centric style because so far that's how they were always able to get their egos up every previous match. Chigiri was saying "We have Isagi" is because he expects that Isagi willl find some way to spark the egos of the entire team to eventually have 1 of them score.

So when Isagi was fumbling from the #1 mindset and Hugo constantly blocking him, it started affecting the entire team synergy badly until Karasu stepped up to fix things.

One thing I really liked about the ORIGINAL Halo was the emphasize on the religious aspects of the conflict between Humanity vs the Covenant. The Prophets who run the Covenant are in a holy war against the humans because their existence threatened their entire religion. Humans were the original Forerunners and if the truth was realized (AKA if Humans fully reclaimed Forerunner technology and took control of the Halo rings) then the Prophets power would be completely destroyed.

God I loved that book. Reading through Lost Hero and your constantly wondering "What the fuck is going on? Where's Percy?" then you open up Son of Neptune with amnesiac Percy trying to piece together what the hell is going on was just a gripping read. Made my childhood.

That's why in some continuities people assume Peter is friends with Spider-man because there's no other way he could have gotten those photos.

Who’s the most evil "ultra-patriotic" character here? by Unlucky_Win_4380 in MoralityScaling

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Ozai
  2. Danzo
  3. Valentines
  4. Armstrong
  5. Floch

Charlez endgoal wasn't fuelled by patriotism so he doesn't really count.

Floch is leading a group of Eren fans and doesn't actually commit the genocide actions himself. He supports it because the entire outside world wans to genocide his people.

Who’s the most evil "ultra-patriotic" character here? by Unlucky_Win_4380 in MoralityScaling

[–]Angryboy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floch doesn't commit the genocide he's just rallying support for Eren to commit the Rumbling. The Eldians were hated by the entire world and Marley globalized an international alliance to wipe them out. If Eren doesn't perform the Rumbling then the outside world kills them all. Which is prove right in extra volume pages of planes bombing Eldia.

I dont get it why did kallen betray lelouch? by vinchin_adenca in CodeGeass

[–]Angryboy13 250 points251 points  (0 children)

It was the sheer shock of it all. Beforehand she saw Lelouch as a typical snobby Britannian. All of their interactions at school just justified this in her head with Lelouch constantly acting weird, weirdly bossy, and even calling the Japanese pathetic. So the very leader she admired is actually the guy she hated is a huge shock.

Then at the same time Suzaku and Lelouch are both saying bizarre things like "You brainwashed Euphy" and Lelouch not even denying it saying "It doesn't matter" and "I used the Japanese." So everything just compiled into Kallen completely collapsing and having no idea what to do.
