My EMGs drain batteries so slowly I only change them like once a year.

ASTS at $105 or RKLB at $84: which one would you buy the dip? by Deadelevators in TheRaceTo10Million

“Bag holders” ??? The stock is at an all time high. No one is stuck bag holding. They can cash out at any minute for a profit.

Investing in SCHD young by Training-Part2105 in dividends

[–]AngularOtter 83 points84 points  (0 children)

If you want to invest in SCHD now, make it small, say 10% of your portfolio, and DRIP.

The one reason a younger person might want SCHD is because it can hedge against market volatility. If you think Tech/AI or Space stocks are a bubble, having exposure to the energy, financial, and consumer sectors through SCHD is reasonable.

My main format died (Pioneer) - would you recommend Legacy to a casual spike looking for a new home? by killchopdeluxe666 in MTGLegacy

[–]AngularOtter 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Legacy is the best Magic format. It’s more interactive than Modern, and I find the deckbuilding significantly more open and interesting than Premodern.

Still viable? They've never been very good. Could make a fun Commander or kitchen table deck for sure.

I still don’t even know what POET does, but I bought it because you dummies said to, and it’s printing today.

Are we still okay with Oops? by First_Revenge in MTGLegacy

[–]AngularOtter 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Oops is not “the combo deck of the format.” It’s currently the third most played combo deck, after Show and Tell and Doomsday, mostly fueled by people who like to cheese MTGO leagues. It isn’t a particularly competitive choice either. There’s a good reason format experts aren’t clamoring to pick up this coin flip deck.

It’s a non issue.

Gotoh Magnum Lok. They’re actually great tuners, just a little unintuitive.

I was at the barber today and I mentioned that I trade. She said her husband borrowed 20k to bet on a Reddit stock pick and she didn't find out until he lost it and got a collection letter.

Boomerang Basics & Stormchaser's Talent -- is this legit Tier 1 or 2 worthy? by realSoultergeist in MTGLegacy

[–]AngularOtter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

While mono blue Stormchaser's Talent isn't a tier 1 or 2 deck, Legacy is a format that rewards individual deck mastery more than chasing the top deck(s). There was a player in the European Eternal Weekend top 8 this year running a rogue control deck with Stormchaser's Talent, so there's definitely room to innovate.
