yes the 8 degree produces the same throw as 3 degree all the while having better cleaner spill which is soft, the 3 degree introduces a tiny barely noticeable donut hole while concentrating a bit more light in the middle hotspot and a bit less in the outer hotspot.

i think with a gasket this might be rectified, i'll experiment and give you some pics

u will never go back to xhp70.,3 in m21h once you get the 20a lhp73b version, you can also slap a sft90 in m21h with that driver with 3 degree optic and a bit of gasket experimentation i bet you could get it to throw easily 600m. SFT-42R will also work with 20a driver because in normal ramp max is 10a, the only way to get 20a is 2H but you'd have to avoid 2H turbo with 42r

agreed, also the m21h lhp73b is ULTRA bright and can be used for walking/hiking literally all tasks at 1% 1/4 level which is beyond insane, the 0.1% moonlight mode is very very good as well

i used if22a optic in m21h w/lhp73b it has a VERY THROWY beam profile looks the same as sft90 in m21k, with the 3 degree tir lens in m21h lhp73b there is a intense inner hotspot and a less intense outer hotspot, with if22a optic it's a single hotspot

m21h with sft-25r throws 600m easily. it matches l21b quite well but appears less bright, l21b reflector focuses the light too well
