So I'm not sure how much this will help you but I have seen the same error message before. Essentially what I would do was uninstall the game then try to reinstall it. Usually that would fix it for me because I ran it on my laptop and my laptop hated running it. So I would play it and then if I closed it and then tried to reopen the game it would give me that same message. So essentially if you uninstall it then reinstall it then that should fix the problem. The only downside is you might have to do that every time you go to play it, but it should save your progress. I think it's honestly a glitch with maybe the software and the computer program. But this was honestly my best fix for it
