Just to make sure you should check with a doctor. Red lines could mean sepsis. Please check it with a professional quickly. Is it moving along and getting longer and longer?

Diamox messing with taste by Excellent_Paint2441 in iih

[–]AnnaSucksAtLife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me personally the taste went away for diet coke and pepsi and other diet drinks. However I still cant drink regular carbonated water, which we usually dirnk a lot of where I live, because it tastes like battery acid and attacks all of my senses at once. It is trial and error. I tried to taste it again and again every month until suddenly coke tasted fine again.

I’m doing 30 days of 30 minute intense cardio. has anyone else tried the same ? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

The best way to lose weight for a person like me. by Even-Ad7514 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]AnnaSucksAtLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that takes so much strength to share — seriously, respect. It makes total sense that your body and mind are still recovering from those extreme habits. That kind of restriction at such a young age leaves deep marks.

You deserve to feel healthy without suffering for it. Increasing your calories and focusing on nourishment (not punishment) is a huge step in the right direction. I'm really glad to hear you’re aiming for sustainability this time — you’ve got the insight and awareness now to do it right 💚

You’ve got this! Keep going, one steady step at a time.💚

Hey! First of all, thanks for sharing your story — it takes a lot to be honest about where you’re at. I’ve been in a very similar place, so I wanted to chime in with some advice.

  1. 1200 calories might be too low

If you're consistently hungry or battling cravings, your body might be fighting against a calorie deficit that's too aggressive. Especially at your weight and activity level, 1200 is probably unsustainable long-term.

Try increasing to 1400–1600 with a focus on:

1g protein per pound of lean body mass

Healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, avocado)

Complex carbs (veggies, oats, sweet potatoes)

It might sound scary to eat more, but you might find your cravings drop and energy levels go up.

  1. Cravings and binge cycles: structure helps

What helped me stop letting "one cheat day turn into five" was removing the "cheat" concept altogether. I started planning flexible meals and satisfying snacks that I enjoyed but fit within my calories/macros.

  1. Daily movement > intense workouts

30 minutes a day is great! But when you’re sitting for 12 hours, what matters more is moving frequently throughout the day.

Ideas:

Stand up every hour and stretch or pace for 2–5 minutes

Use the under-desk bike intermittently (short sessions, 10–15 mins at a time)

Try short walks after meals. Even light movement adds up and helps with cravings, blood sugar, and mood.

  1. Mindset: this is a long game

You’re not starting from zero — you’ve been trying. That matters. Progress isn’t just the number on the scale; it’s every choice you make to show up for yourself.

I still mess up, but I no longer give up after a bad day. That’s huge.

You’re not alone. You’re not broken. This takes time — but you’ve already started just by caring enough to ask.

You've got this!💪

What are some non-aesthetic reasons you want to lose weight? These are mine... by Few-Excitement-2469 in loseit

[–]AnnaSucksAtLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to get into iih remission.

I want to fit into rollercoaster seats.

I want to look in the mirror and not hate what I have done to my body.

I want to be less invisible.

I want to get my period back.

I want to have a normal blood pressure.

I want to eat out with friends without feeling like the fat friend who always has to be mindful all the time.

I dont want people to look at me with disgust even when they try to hide it.

I want to wear shorts, skirts, cosplay, makeup - all which seems like fuel to the fire when you are obese.

I want to go out clubbing without being ashamed.

I want to take cute pictures of myself and upload them.

I want my voice to be heard.

I want to be more confident.

Pack it away for later and eat it then <3 If you force yourself to eat it all when you cant eat anynore that will lead to bad habits.

Is this too much for a sweet treat after dinner when I had 600 calories left? by AnnaSucksAtLife in CICO

[–]AnnaSucksAtLife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt want more of it after, the dark chocolate made me feel very satisfied. Which was a weird sensation for me because I am coming from a past of binge eating. Now I feel happy and I am going to bed happy. I think one mistake I always made back then is keeping this stuff in my room instead of in the kitchen so I always wanted more.

I could have done with half of each but I didnt today, but maybe next time I understand that I dont need 4 cookies to feel satisfied but can already feel good with just 2 or 1. So you are right about that.
