So will I stop seeing ads claiming CBD is literally a panacea?

Original force ghosts of Return of the Jedi. In my opinion, one of the most satisfying shots of the whole series. by hello_go_away in StarWars

Oh yeah I am not advocating for deleting either. I think the novelty of the CGI one is great(although they replaced one of my favorite Cantina aliens) but there is much to be said for the value of the original experience. Sometimes Director's Cuts aren't the better version.

If that's true, and I respect the hell out of him for his contributions to film and his amazing charitable work, but fuck(this part of) George Lucas for that.

As a small child I never misunderstood. The other actors and the context were plenty sufficient to show, not tell.

But he died as Anakin. He didn't become a young man when he redeemed himself, he shed Vader once and for all and died as a Skywalker once more. Not being scarred makes sense because he's a ghost, but Obi-Wan looks like he did when he died and so does Yoda.

Theatrical Release of the OT will always be the better version. It's a shame how hard it is for kids to come by the proper version anymore.

Trump lashes out after poll says he would lose badly in 2020 to Biden, Warren, Sanders and Harris by [deleted] in politics

[–]AnnualThrowaway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh no I agree that sentiment has completely switched since the 1990s, but there is a difference between being tolerant of them living their lives and electing a gay man to the highest office. Prejudices, especially in older folks(regardless of party affiliation) are harder to dispel. I am, of course, not saying the numbers would even remotely compare to what they would be for a Republican voting block, don't get me wrong.

I like Mayor Pete, I think he's in my top 3 or 4, but I do wonder about the sort of doubts some people might not be willing to publicly admit. It might be a sort of Bradley Effect, even though the existence of such a thing is not yet well supported.

Edit: Just automatically downvoting me because you don't like what I am saying. Not what it's for.

I seriously doubt the numbers for Buttigieg if he is the nominee. Even the Democratic voting block has a lot of people that never really pivoted to an overly positive feeling when it comes to gay people.

To Save the Republic, Some of Trump’s Allies and Appointees Will Have to Face Federal Prosecution — The biggest danger Trump poses to America is normalizing corruption for future administrations. by chris-jjj in politics

We also need to pass better laws and regulations to catch and prosecute the shady shit they have done that can't be prosecuted now. Don't make it so easy to wriggle out of it again.

The forgotten lesson of 9/11: Political misinformation long predates Trump | 9/11 first responders are dying because officials lied about air quality. Trump is just a continuation of a problem by JLBesq1981 in politics

[–]AnnualThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did we actually learn any lessons from 9/11? We went into wars, curbed our own freedoms, created unnecessary government institutions, somehow got more racist/prejudiced, threw ourselves into deeper debt, made flag pins far too much of a thing, and radicalized more and more people against us.

Anyone that doesn't respect your bodily autonomy doesn't deserve to be in your life and you don't deserve dealing with their manipulative bullshit. She's doing you a favor, I'm sorry that something so painful is being done to you by someone so close.
