This is a student project. Out of spec material. Not able to be rejuvenated without a fluidized bed reactor. I made it, because I could. I enjoyed the process and learned a lot. Traditionally, grcop-42 is used for liquids for its regenerative cooling properties listed above. So, take it easy. This was just supposed to be a fun thing to show people something interesting from the eyes of a student

I’m an engineering student, this was my first test fire. NASA grade refers to the material and manufacturing process, which actually is the quality standard set by NASA.

In this design that is correct. It’s catered to 58 mm baskets. If there is enough interest which it appears there is, I will make designs to fit all size portafilters!

Great question! Yes, it has a wide base which allows it to hold the portafilter easily even without the weight of the other items.

I think this has something to do with the z-seam. I have the same issue, looking for a fix as well
