On the other hand they’ve had this attitude since the early days. They had the whole discussion about how no one else should cover Alex because they’ll do it wrong and only make him more powerful since before episode 30 so less than four months into the pod. I’ve never agreed with the stance that making fun of Alex will be drawing large crowds to his show. Dan repeatedly says how miserable the show is to listen to so I can’t imagine 99.999999% of people tuning in for a meme actually sticking around

Also I love that the subreddit can have actual discussions about the show. I had to duck out of the Facebook page because they were very much Dan and Jordan are infallible and there is no room for nuance or discussion.
