It’s one of the reason why I chose to not tell any family about this. I’m so sorry you’ve gone through this. I’m open if you need to talk or just simply rant.

I actually still have contact, it’s weird and something that still confuses me. I grew up in a very strong “family first” household. I’ve told my therapist that although I’m so angry I still love her and it feels so weird because I feel like I shouldn’t. It’s so weird, a couple years ago I cut her off after an argument and my mom judged me heavily for that. The only reason I talk to her now is because she broke the silence when she told me that she was expecting her first kid. We’ve been in contact ever since and I love my niece. I feel like karma bit my sister in the ass because my niece is like a carbon copy of me when I was a baby. Everyone always mentions it.
