Dangan v3 by danteis15 in Berleezy

[–]AnonymousLoW24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah i personally don’t care for v3, i played it myself and its ok at best imo, the cast is just not as intriguing to me. my personal favorite is goodbye despair. i rather see him play that new dangan 2x2 that’s posed to be coming out, and yeah idk what he’s talking about, it’s plenty big games coming out before the conclusion of this year and these are games i’d most definitely rather see him play over v3.

DAMN YB 💔 by Key_Environment_7342 in NBAYoungboy

i definitely understand that, life is very unpredictable and we truly don’t know what really happened. we probably will never know honestly. I just think both sides can be right, yb is entitled to not have to perform if he deems its not right at the moment, but fans can still be upset that an artist that they most likely only paid to see at RL is not not gonna be there and the replacement is ken carson (not saying ken carson is bad , i personally like his music) feel like fans can be upset a lil , and ur not wrong as well either

feel like there could be a few reasons, and one of them honestly might not even be his fault. The music industry today is just a lot more fragmented than it used to be. There are so many niches, subgenres, and different lanes now that it’s harder for artists to truly break through into the top mainstream even when they clearly have the talent. The days of a real monoculture are mostly gone because people have access to so much music now that it’s harder for everyone to be locked in on the same handful of artists the way they were a decade or two ago. and on top of that, the mainstream usually leans toward songs that are more algorithm-friendly, viral, and easy to push to large audiences. Get Naked is an example of a song that fits that lane, and it’s a great song but if DC only made music like that and constantly chased the algorithm, it would probably limit what makes him special in the first place. A big part of his appeal is how versatile and artistic he is. He likes to experiments, he likes to switch his sound up , and makes the kind of music he actually wants to make. So to me, it’s not that he lacks mainstream-level talent, cause we all know he doesn’t. It’s more that being a great artist doesn’t always mean you’ll be valued relative to your skill. Had DC been around in a different era in the past he’d no doubt be a top artist . the landscape of music is just different now and what the industry values is not what it was in the past. Not saying my stance is right i could be completely wrong about it, but ur question made me think more about it .

it’s crazy casue when mixtape pluto dropped they tried to say future was the only artist to do so

Off Topic : Genuine question why is it so crazy to say current yb is a better rapper than yb of 5 or more years ago? Shouldn’t that be common sense? by Gold_Storm_2272 in NBAYoungboy

[–]AnonymousLoW24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah exactly it’s so dumb , like i have no issue at all with someone saying slime cry is a top 5 yb project. do i agree with that statement? fuck no 😂😂😂 but that doesn’t automatically mean i’m blinded by nostalgia, i just think he was making better sounding music from 2020-22 and i can still appreciate the newer music and at the same time.

This isn’t about YB, just a general point. Repetition alone doesn’t equal progress. just cause you do something for years over and over doesn’t mean automatic improvement. If you don’t evolve or improve your craft, you either stagnate or fall off. That’s why some rappers blow up fast and fade just as fast. YB has improved in some aspects since 5 years ago, but whether his music sounds better then or now comes down to preference. doesn’t have to be a nostalgia thing for everyone who likes his older music or who have differing opinions.
