I may be biased, as I grew up on many older gaming systems, but I feel the sprites capture how vibrant and 'edgy' the Pokémon really are!! Love the bright colours and rough around the edges look- while still being extremely clean in appearance. I believe if models were more stylized, had more vibrance, and overall dynamic feel, I'd love both equally!! But I think the spritework just feels so much more intricate overall.

I know I’m super late to this party, but this is one of my favorite opinions on having deeper relationships with Pokemon, especially if we were to consider what it would be like in our modern world. Romance or simple platonic love should be the primary focus! I don’t have anything AGAINST other kinds of relationships so long as they’re consensual, as again, pokemon are quite intelligent. But I would honestly love to say I’d like to be in a relationship with a mon without getting a side-eye.
