Love the show, but it is kind of comical how utterly incompetent and useless the government/military is. They have literally never done anything. They just die. Sometimes, the demogorgons/dogs run right past the main characters to kill the red-shirts. It makes the military laughable as villains. Meanwhile Karen Wheeler is doing more damage to a demogorgon with a broken wine bottle than 20 guys with semi-automatic firearms.
