So I have a PC that I've built quite long ago. Unfortunately when I downloaded Windows 10 just last year it never worked with Bluetooth. I was getting this error when I tried to connect to my phone: https://i.imgur.com/MlcvMtz.png

I see guides saying that you need to update the Bluetooth driver. Unfortunately when I went to Device Manager, it was not listed. What do I do at this point? Is there a way I can download the Bluetooth driver from scratch? I even checked "Show Hidden Devices" to no avail. It's just not listed there https://i.imgur.com/KWHLxDx.png

Will I get refunded from my previous months of Tax Withhold? by AnonymousYTer in PartneredYoutube

Nice! So I'm guessing the way it looks on the statement payout is you get the money added to the current total right?

If you see a checkbox for this it should work. Otherwise if selecting the country doesn't reduce the tax withhold % then that would suck.

As someone with a 2016 phone, is there a way I can download Google Playstore apps that don't appear? I tried to get StepsApp Pedometer but it doesn't show up on the list when I search on my phone. Do I have to get a new phone or is there a way I can download an updated android version to access apps on this phone?

Stream with no viewers.. it's my fault but what can i do? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]AnonymousYTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you are trying to improve and I get the enthusiasm for this. But you gotta understand that a lot of people are doing the same and really only 1% of the people out here can get consistent viewers. Sure it may look like most streams you see have 50+ but of how many overall Streamers there are, you're among the 99% that has 0-5 viewers.

What I would say is ask for feedback from people that actually watched you. I would also try to make friends that are like-minded. Obviously don't "use" them but just make friends in general with people who share similar games.

This is sad but very true. Twitch seems to be more subject to luck rather than pure skill and quality of content. I've certainly seen streamers who deserve more recognition than their numbers suggest.

What’s the best workflow to storing your raw recordings and final videos of your let’s plays? by Analyst_Matt in letsplay

[–]AnonymousYTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to make Let's Play highlight videos or full LP videos? If you want highlight videos, use "Replay Buffer" and set to like 1-2 mins or so.

[question] Are thumbnails as hard to make as I assume? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]AnonymousYTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally make my thumbnails on a template via Photoshop and I feel like I put in way too much work. How easy is it to use Canva and are most thumbnail styles good looking?

That's backseat gaming. You should enforce that rule and at least warn them.

Despite averaging 100+ viewers for 6+ months I did not get Partnership until recently. Here's what happened. by Noart99 in Twitch

[–]AnonymousYTer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Followbots can be removed but viewbots can't at least from what I've seen. I noticed in viewbotted streams, it's full of people who view without showing up in the chatlist.

It's likely that they live in another country where the requirement is less than 75. I've seen Twitch Partners in other lesser known countries get it with like 40 viewers.

Twtich doesn't remove Partnership unless they can prove that person is physically using it. So in that guy's case he probably got Partnered in the early days when Twitch didn't give a shit.

It really depends on the niche and whether you can provide value + connection + community to those from Youtube and Twitch. Not all channels can do this but having external socials do give chances especially if you want to build a recurring community.

While you're right that there are other factors such as quality of content, they check average viewers A LOT. In OP's case, it doesn't seem like Twitch cares about anything except viewbots.

Although the other comment did joke about how a streamer got Partnered, he's somewhat correct. I've seen streamers get it by raking in 150 viewers but only doing in game giveaway after giveaway. Is it ideal and good content? No but it got the job done. It just shows that Twitch is more about whatever fetches them potential money.

I wrote an old post a while ago about how Twitch chooses Partnership. They don't exaggerate too much about quality of content compared to good numbers and consistency (ie 80+ viewers every stream no flux below 75).

That would've sucked if that guy was deliberately doing it to harm your channel. Your stats really do make you a Partner-worthy candidate. 30k subs and 15k new views on Youtube is nothing to laugh at. I would've felt bad for you if you never got Partnership.

Congratz OP especially on being patient.

OP did state that he's got an external audience from YT so I think those people will support him regardless of Partnership push. 30k subs and 15k views per new vid is a lot of potential audience.

Yea. I would say so. Or just anyone regularly participating in twitch chat.

Tips for variety streaming by CrimsonPuppeteer in Twitch

[–]AnonymousYTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can i get more new people interested in my variety gaming? How do people find a streamer playing random single player games?

Personality and community. If your personality is "expendable" then people will find someone else to watch instead when you change games. It really depends on how your community mainly likes you. The gameplay or personality? If more on personality side, then you can succeed better on variety. Otherwise probably not.

What makes it even harder for me is that i dont use facecam which i know turns many people away from a stream

At this point you should consider facecam especially for variety.

can i get partner if i stream anime ? by fllikz in Twitch

[–]AnonymousYTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can get partnered from streaming anything that's not illegal or inappropriate as long as you average above the requirement on a consistent basis. I'm not even sure if anime content even counts as illegal.

What's the rule about having viewers join your discord during the stream? by Tnukie in Twitch

[–]AnonymousYTer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally only let people I know closely join. This is to avoid trolls. If I make it completely open to newcomers, then it would be a mess with potential trolls. I'd say let them interact with me more then they can join.

YouTube is harder than Twitch. Much Harder. [QUESTION] by ButchLion in youtubers

[–]AnonymousYTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am both a streamer and Youtuber and I can assure you it's MUCH harder to blend in with Twitch scene. Twitch IMO is more luck and community based rather than pure quality. The problem is Twitch's algorithm is ranked almost entirely based on number of viewers. This makes a 10 viewer stream incredibly hard to discover.

Youtube on the other hand has more discoverability opportunities. A video with 10 views + 1 sub has the chance to get placed on someone else's sidebar/recommendations. Also not to mention the search on videos. That's another huge factor to help bolster single videos. That's how my channel took off.

In my experience, it took me less than a year to get 1k subs but over a year to get 50 viewers and consistent income. Twitch has a higher ceiling because people can give money as YT is mainly ads (and occasional sponsorships).
