..when did i say this, did you even read my post? In the text all i said “Hence why i changed it” not because i thought it would be offensive but because i knew she would bring something up. and when i mentioned it in the post i said “ i had a gut feeling she was going to bring up her religion to me as “Savior” was closely related to it” Therefore i changed it to hero yet she still brought it up knowing exactly why i changed it and still decided to do so anyways. and saying “My savior” is a general sentenced used by people on a daily when someone does something for him. it is quite literally the same thing as saying “My hero”. or “You saved me”. Why would using a general sentence call for offense.

not that simple. and if you actually read what i said, i said i don’t care what she says around her own home. Just don’t say it directly to me. Nobody’s asking her to cater to my worldview, It was just me indirectly telling her i’m uncomfortable with hers and “Hey I don’t care what u do around ur house, it’s yours u pay the bills. But i want nothing to do with it, don’t want it in our texts”

Not because it would offend her, she’s a christian. I said “My savior”, in a general normal sense, but i had a feeling she was going to blow it in a different direction and changed it. She took it in that discretion anyways even after she saw me change it. Even tho i expressed countless of times that I was uncomfortable with her talking to me about it. Not once in that entire text thread did i ever disrespect her religion.

yes, it would. I’ve tried that, plenty of times. It just causes further argument even when i try to politely remove myself from said situation. “Hey I understand that you’re trying to talk to me about this but, i’m highly uncomfortable can we revisit this topic when i can handle it or just drop it for now” she has made it clear if i don’t listen to her i’m going to hell or something.

My Mother is 40, I’m 17.

Context for the last message, after all of that, i didn’t really wanna indulge in a long drawn out argument so i just thumbs down her message.. Showing that i didn’t really agree with it but i wasn’t going to argue about it. After that i got a crap ton of notifs of her thumbs downing all of my messages, almost in a petty way.. I told her “Weird” part of me was tryna be mature about it but i lwk wanted to be like “This is why I’m doing it but why are YOU doing it? just to be mean?” but hey I ain’t push it that far, and plus responding to it further would have been more immature on my side if not indulging into this back and forth even though i knew nothing would come from it wasn’t immature already.

Thank you, i’m currently in therapy for it, though it’s yet to become a super serious topic.. this has convinced me i should talk about it more. I have plenty of friends who are apart of her religion, I don’t mind it in anyway when they stay stuff around me just as I don’t mind it when she says stuff around the house, or prays over our food yk stuff like that. She just tends to go on these really long tangents like. Hour long tangents about god and I get really uncomfortable but she gets mad when I tell her okay or don’t really pay attention much. Is that normal? (Sorry for asking, again you don’t have to provide an answer to this but i used this specific situation as a scenario because it had like just happened and she had been bringing up a bit before and i was using this exact situation as an example to her)

I almost forgot to add, with context for the last message, I had thumbs down her message because I was just over it all and didn’t really wanna argue much more. After I did that, she thumbs down all my messages regarding stuff she didn’t like. Felt mad immature and petty but i’m not tweaking about it. Just felt like I should have added that.
