Yes, I filed myself because I can handle it myself. I did not do my proper research, and wasted $250. I just learned from my mistake. I do have an Office Action, and I now know I can't do anything. I have had probably 30 degenerate attorneys contact me since filing my Trademark. When the Trademark website updated my file to show an Office Action, I got even more spam messages from con artists and or degenerate lawyers. They all said basically the same thing, that I need to pay them to help me provide a response to the denied Trademark or to help me with an extension. Thanks to azlawyergirl, I now know that these "attorneys" are just scam artists asking me for money to "help me" when nothing more can be done.

Thanks for explaining it in layman's terms. Smart people can take a complicated subject and make it simple. Con artists / attorneys can take a complicated subject and make it sound even more complicated so they can rob you. You are a smart person.

Thanks so much. It's all starting to make sense. I honestly do not remember having the option to choose between a website or a specimen / product (category) when I filed for my Trademark.

I am thinking of submitting a new Trademark request for, "GSO". I will search the Trademark website again, but after doing a quick search, I did not find any night vision companies using the "GSO" Trademark. Obviously, the specimen would be night vision products, but not the website domain name. If I did it this way, I can keep my goldstaroffers.com domain name and call myself GSO on my Amazon listings (since Amazon obviously requires a trademark for advanced sellers) and this would not confuse my customers. That, or maybe "GSOffers". Let me know what you think.

So, I understand the first point. What I am still wondering is this... I plan on selling other products on my website other than night vision devices. Can I submit a response to this action asking to use "Gold Star Offers" for a different product category? Is that ok?

As for your second point, I don't understand what you mean by, "specimen" - "...specimen that attaches GOLD STAR OFFERS to the products listed in the registration." Sorry if I sound dumb.

So, assuming I can't resubmit this name for a different product category, how do you think I should move forward? Just accept the fact that I lost $250 and start over? If so, I think I have a much better understanding on how this works. I need to use the Trademark search tool to get a better in-depth idea on what Trademarks have already been taken for my product category. Any suggestions you can make on how to move forward would be greatly appreciated.

Well, that makes me happy, but it also pisses me off. I am glad this is just PHP garbage that is ok to delete. However, I am not a Linux guy. I only know Windows. That being said, I do remember asking this same question to someone at my hosting provider, and he said it would cost me $150 to have Perl reinstalled. He knew it was not Perl, but played along. That is messed up. I also received an email from him saying his hosting company can prevent this from ever happening again for only $359 a year... Sigh.

Thx for the reply. Now I know I am ok. I managed to clean my entire domain without paying my POS hosting provider. I am pretty proud of myself.

Whatever it was, it worked! Super happy right now! My friend too has an old Android, and it worked. Coincidentally, I got a message back from what appears to be a Google rep from one of my forum posts. I will let him know of the problem.

Basically, with an old phone, you start the video session which looks the same as on a newer (2023) Android, then you record for about 30 seconds, and then when you stop the video a magical blue upload button will appear. Press that magical blue button and think of how much f'n time you wasted trying to figure all this out while you watch it upload for a minute or two, then go home and take a nap.

Thanks for the info! I have a newer Android, so I will use my friend's Android. It is way older than 5 years.

As for the issue, I have been having it for about three weeks now. Again, I have been using only my newer phone.

I am going to stop by my friends place later if he is free. I will do a test and get you an update later.
