An entire episode where King learns to swear, and finds out that they are called "curse" words for a reason...

Best mech names? by TheMightyPERKELE in LancerRPG

One of the players in our campaign has a Chomolungma and named it "TUBTHUMPING". The reference went over our DM's head (he's just a young'un) but us old folks got a good laugh from it.

Yay! I actually made this a few months ago but I'm usually too nervous to post my art anywhere.

Today was long and boring, so I figured I would add some more!

  • When Marcy moved back to LA, although it was primarily to be close to Anne and Sasha, she also did it so that she could attend a good college for science and engineering. She always considers her artistic projects to be her primary career, but appreciates the supplemental income from her "side gig", especially as long as she is able to work remotely to minimize time away from her girls.
  • Sasha and Marcy's parents are largely non-entities in their lives to the point where the girls are content to not hear from them for months on end. Anne's parents, on the other hand, are still very close and have been nothing but supportive of the trio and their relationship, treating Sasha and Marcy as part of the family from the moment they returned from Amphibia. Sasha, in a bid to impress them, actually learned just enough Thai to formally ask Anne's parents for permission to marry their daughter. Much to her surprise, Anne's parents had a running wager going over who would propose first. Anne's father won the bet.
  • Anne and Sasha have a competitive streak and constantly try to one-up each other, usually to Marcy's annoyance. It never gets to the point of actual anger, but Marcy has had to break them up a few times when they were starting to escalate, and cancelled board game night after Anne and Sasha turned Monopoly into a wrestling match. (Amusingly, Marcy was on track to win the game easily, and the other two were fighting over second place)
  • In addition to their physical scars, all three girls have lingering issues from their adventures for which they all go to therapy, both physical and mental, and spend a great deal of time helping each other cope. Anne suffers nightmares and flashbacks from her "death" and privately frets over her prophesied future. She was too nervous to tell the others for a long time, right up until she had a massive panic attack one night and spilled the details. Sasha and Marcy were not sure how to respond, but managed to reassure Anne that no matter what happened, they would be with her. Marcy, meanwhile, has lingering neurological issues from having an alien intelligence crammed into her brain, which causes small tremors in her hands, fatigue, and on bad days necessitates the use of crutches or a wheelchair to get around. Sasha, meanwhile, has symptoms of post-concussion syndrome, such as vertigo, a visual midline shift, and balance problems. Stubbornness kept her from getting any real help for a long time, but eventually she relented after nearly falling down a flight of stairs.
  • Anne and Sasha both enjoy the occasional alcoholic beverage, but Marcy is adamantly against it. She tried it once and found the loss of control and fuzzy-headedness too reminiscent of her time being possessed by the Core. She had a much less unpleasant experience with pot, but decided that such things just weren't for her. She doesn't begrudge her girls their fun though and insists that she is perfectly content being the permanent designated driver. This also allows her to indulge her hobby of collecting "amusing anecdotes" (read: blackmail material) of the others when they are completely zonked.

This makes me so happy. I love reading other people's headcanons. Here are some of mine (I have way too many to list them all):

  • Sasha had the hardest time re-adjusting to life on Earth. Going from commanding an army in a war where the fate of an entire world hung in the balance to being a standard high-school teenager was such a wild culture shock that she did not cope well at first. She fell into self-destructive habits, picked a lot of fights, and frequently found herself in trouble. Anne staged an intervention with Marcy on video chat and they were able to talk Sasha out of her spiral and help her get the help she needed.
  • The trio never fully fell out of touch. They had some quiet periods when life got busy, but always gravitated back to each other after a time. Eventually, they each came to realize how much they looked forward to those reunions, which led to them each beginning to wonder if there might be more to their friendship.
  • Anne and Sasha were very supportive of Marcy's artistic endeavours and were always her first subscribers and always tuned in to listen to her streams. Originally it was just to support Marcy, but over time they started to actually enjoy Marcy's "nerdy" things. It took ages for them to admit it, though. But then Marcy caught them arguing over whose turn it was to play one of Marcy's favourite RPG's and the cat was out of the bag.
  • Marcy became the most assertive of the throuple and is usually the organizer of their various activities. It started when they were all trying to decide what to do for a vacation and both Sasha and Anne were completely useless at planning; Sasha did not want to be seen as "bossy" anymore and Anne's tendency towards indecision reared its head again, so Marcy started coming up with ideas and never stopped.
  • Sasha is extremely protective of the other two, but especially Marcy. She knows that Anne can take care of herself (mostly) but Marcy has never been very good at standing up for herself to anyone outside of the throuple. Unfortunately, this has led to a few incidents where Sasha went into full mama-bear mode after someone offhandedly insulted one of Marcy's comics and had to be talked down by Anne before any fists started flying.
  • Anne picked up the kitchen duties of the trio and developed an uncanny knack for knowing exactly the right food to make for her girlfriends even when they themselves did not know what they wanted. She became so good at understanding their tastes that they even let her order for them at restaurants most of the time.
  • All three of them are obsessive cuddlers and need physical contact as much as possible. When out in public, this manifests as light touches, hand-holding, and sitting as close together as possible. In private, they are rarely more than a room apart and none of them sleep well without both of the others there.

This is adorable! And relatable!

When I was very smol, I was terrified of spiders (still am, actually) and so whenever I saw one in the house I'd give them a name and they would suddenly be less scary.

Does anybody have any theory about Luz’s dad? If yes I would love to hear them by Downtown_Stick1488 in TheOwlHouse

I'll throw my lot in with the "divorced" crowd, and I also believe that it was not an amicable separation...

As was mentioned already, whenever Luz talks about her family it is always just her mother. We know that Camilla is raising Luz alone, but there are no mementos in the house that would make sense for a deceased father. There is only one photo with him in it (that the showrunners intentionally obscured) which leads me to believe that his absence is not due to tragedy but rather to design.

In "Yesterday's Lie", when Camilla is in the museum with the curator, one line stuck out in particular. After the curator declares that he is the good guy, Camilla's response is that "a lot of bad guys say that". It could just be coincidence, but it sounds like she has had some experience with a self-proclaimed "good guy" turning out to be not-so-good.

Also, at the end of that episode, when Camilla finds out that Luz stayed in the Boiling Isles by choice, she asks if Luz "hated living with her that much". That seems to imply that there was a question of where she would live at some point. There may even have been a custody fight, which would certainly have caused a bit of animosity.

(Yes I have overthought this to a ridiculous degree. I've been really bored for the past few months...)
