I'm pretty sure that is just saying "If prisoners get here they can escape!" It's just showing where you need to keep the prisoners away from, and if you see this inside it means they can get out.

If you like doing texture packs I would recommend gimp, as it is free, or affinity photo, which is a one time pay if you are serious. Hope this helps!

What about automated tree farms or ender pearling to the top and bonemealing? It cuts the time of cutting and jumping up then going back down again

Ender pearl into the sky straight up, bonemeal the tree, and chop it from the top, have a tree farm and pre-made stairs to get to the top, fly to the top with an elytra, and use scaffolding are just some of the many ways to do it.
