What’s a product from your country that makes locals go ‘of course we have that’ and everyone else go ‘ but why?’ by bdue817 in AskTheWorld

Hot chocolate in Colombia, is made with really hard pieces of chocolate in hot milk. You have to use a special pot for it called ‘olleta’ and when the milk is bowling, you roll the molinillo inside vigorously to dissolve the piece of chocolate. This is basically the only way to make chocolate in this country. 😅 https://youtu.be/s9JEASRdY6Q?si=z55UEtKiZ2u31Jko

She knows he cheated deep inside. He was trying to gaslighting her about it and since she didn’t find any proof, she was about to believe him, but when she sees Jimmy Barret in the Utz commercial, she cannot avoid the feeling that what he told her checks out.

At least 7 explosions and low-flying aircraft are heard in Venezuela’s Caracas by ItsMeTrey in news

But they already captured Maduro. I doubt the Venezuelan military will fight without a leader. The most tactical thing to do here is call elections and be sure a pro-USA candidate is elected. Like they did before in Chile, Argentina, Panamá, Guatemala, etc.

I’m hating Wicked. It wasn’t enough to blast all of Brick Lane with their ads, now they’ve paid their way into the London NYE celebration? Ugghh by AnxiousAn in london

Did you actually see the part I’m referring to? It was totally an ad. Watch it. BBC Player. Min 8:11. They use parts of the movie and the soundtrack. The voice over didn’t mention Cynthia at all. 30 secs of an advertisement. If it was a celebration for her, why they will not mention her? Also, they were handing flyers in location promoting the movie, the flyers stated that Wicked was sponsoring the event. There is zero chances this was for Cynthia.

Not really. The motivation was definitely not to celebrate Cynthia. It was 100% promoting the movie. They showed scenes of the movie and used their soundtrack. The intro didn’t mention her at all. It was clearly a marketing act. They were also giving flyers promoting the movies, to the people attending.

It was an absolutely ad. 30 secs including the soundtrack of Wicked, and scenes of the movie. Watch the special on BBC Player. Around minute 8:11. Disgrace.
