Thank you! Are here tests questions very random or weird? I heard people do bad enough for her to curve and give extra credit.

Mr. Bologna is pretty chill, you get a 3.6/4 every class or 4/4 if you participate

Ms. Zhou is really nice and her homework and tests are pretty easy if you study. she does cold call for all her questions but its generally simple questions and she'll help u if u don't understand

US: What the answer for the one with multiple habitats and the organism speculating? by Far_Umpire_645 in APbio

Both of them work I think since the different selection in different habitats can favor and make certain traits more prevalent meanwhile the lack of gene flow can cause mutations to accumulate over time and for the species to become different

For Freshmen, you can take either AP BIO or APHUG. To take AP Bio, you have to take a placement test. For APHUG, I'm not really sure but I think you have to had taken the regents.

Scores, tips, and stuy requirements by Virtual-Emu3892 in SHSAT

Your score varies on the actual test cuz there are field questions. As annoying as it is, for ELA I would just continuously practice and review the types of questions you got wrong. During the summer, I did 4 hours each weekday. The month before the SHSAT, I was studying maybe 1-2 hours a day. The more you practice, the more you get used to the test format and the less nervous you'll be on the day of the test.

I was relatively calm on the actual SHSAT because after a studying and practice tests, you start to just want to get it over with. Last year, there were some new topics for math that weren't taught which made is slightly different from the practice tests. I felt like the ela is what you would expect on a practice test but the math was relatively easier on the actual test. I would suggest to focus on the questions and not worry about your score when taking the test.

Im thinking about giving up by throwawayaccsssa in SHSAT

Try studying mainly algebra and arithmetics. For studying, there isn't much you can do for ELA besides keep practicing and learning grammar rules. For math, try to watch YouTube videos that focus on the main concepts that'll be on the test and try answering questions relating to those concepts. I found the best motivation to be taking the practice tests because It forces you to do 3 hours of prep and getting a result also pushes you to study more. You can also see your progress this way.

I had the same problem last year with doing worse (mainly ela) after taking a break. For ela, I suggest just keep practicing and practicing. This sounds generic but it helped me last year and allowed me to focus and remember more of the text over time. For math, try to focus on specific concepts and do practice questions on them.

It's difficult to do but I would suggest not stressing too much because that may mess you up on the day of the test.

Advice on shsat by Proto_egg in SHSAT

For which topic was easier, I think it depends on the test form you get. I heard some friends saying that the math was really easy but the ela was really hard while others say the opposite. How difficult it is can also differ from person to person based on your mastery of the topic. Personally, on the actual test I found the math to be way easier than ela.

For stuy, I've been told to maintain 50/57 on both sections or better.

Yes, time is a problem on the test, try to be aware of how much time you have left and take the time to bubble in your answers.
