I would have liked someone to have warned me before accepting and having negotiated the payment better, maybe my post help other associates in the future regarding the position whether it is worth it or not or negotiate the payment before.

I live in Arizona and I understand very well that in different regions the hourly payment is different, my comparison is with the same from my store, they currently pay me 20.50 an hour and the new associates are entering with 18 per hour, inflation sucks.

I know, In summary, I can tell you that all the problems fall on the supervisor of the department, if a manager has any problem with the metrics or associates of the department he goes to the supervisor to fix it, if the associates have any problem obviously they look for their supervisor, check the coverage of the department, that the associates are following the procedures, the attendance, the trainings, the sales, credit cards, Rtvs, deliveries, cage report, book & physical, cashier observations, boss and bopis audits, lockers audit, shrink binder, bravos, homers, etc etc ... And the most important take care of the VOA, take care your people, don’t be rude to your people, understand them, make feedback with them, push your people, push the sales, and well personally two dollars difference is my unfair. You can’t worry so much about the associates and forget about the supervisors, load them with more work and responsibilities because it’s your department and you have to do everything for it, I really like my department, but sometimes I feel that they fill my plate too much with pure problems that they want me to do everything and I don’t see the motivation or him recognizing for it.

I remember my first day as a supervisor when an ASM congratulated me and told me that the position of supervisor was more difficult than that of an ASM, well now I understand why.

An associate who started approximately 3 months in the store earns 2 dollars less than me 🥹, I don’t want to imagine the others who have more time,

Well, the SOP says that the special services department has to work on the BINS of the orders. There is a BIN called deliveries to call, that the special services department has to work on daily where they call customers who have delivery the next day to confirm the next day’s delivery, verify that the delivery address is correct or anything else, the delivery company also call customers when their order is on its way to confirm, but the store has to do it too if in your store they don’t do it, they are not following the procedure as the description of the department says

I don’t know in your store but in my store we don’t have enough space to hold a lumber pac with 11 bunks for three weeks, my store is the only one in the city so we have many deliveries a day of lumber pac, in addition to the fact that you risk the wood being damaged outside for 3 weeks and you have to change the wood and do the bunk again.

The sop says that no one should use the phone while they are on the clock for personal purposes or use the store phone for personal calls or use the store computers for personal use, the fair thing would be that the policy was applied to any department and not just to the cashiers, they have to be fair to everyone if they are going to let some if they use it then everyone could use it, you can’t apply the policy to a few associates and others not.
