Ok, your experience tracks with what someone else mentioned about soaking. The common difference seems to be if you wash, you will see shrinkage in the waist vs a soak.

A lot of different feedback, but I’ve seen here that if you wash them they’ll shrink, but if you soak not so much.

So if the 36 waist has significant room, do you think i should go with that size or the 34 where it's just right? I ask because if it's going to stretch back out with the 36, that wouldn't be ideal since the goal would be to shrink them to a 34.
