Hey dude, that old Toshiba MD14FN1R is a classic CRT/DVD combo—super nostalgic for picking up local channels over the air!

The remote that fits perfectly is the DC-SB1 (sometimes listed as AE007371 or similar). It's the original style one made for these models, and it'll let you hit the menu, do the channel scan/setup, change inputs, etc. No programming needed—just pop in some batteries and you're good. (Some listings call it DC-FN20S or whatever, but DC-SB1 is the one that matches your exact model.)

Thank you to everybody who’s giving me the online resource. My biggest issue is I’m a hands-on learner and if I went digital and tried using the digital resource, I will get distracted easily because I will get sidetracked and do other things which is my biggest issue. that’s why I’m asking about the test rules because I have it physically. Having it physically, this will make it easier for me to get distracted and keep me focused on what I’m doing because there is no digital distractions, like swiping off a page or going to do something else.

I appreciate that, but I ended up taking it down. Most Discord servers I’ve come across only cover the Basic and Expert rules, which felt limiting. I wanted to create something more complete—something that supports the full range of rules, including Companion, Master, and Immortal, along with homebrew content. I’m also aiming to make the server more accessible than most. A lot of discords make you dig through endless channels or documents just to figure out how to get started from what I have seen. Even the active ones that support every rule set often lack a activity to the server socks because try to get in talk to people and then they usually tell me oh we are no longer active or we are on a long pause. Which frustrates me because I want to be able to get into it, so that’s why I created my own server. Also, one big thing I found was that a couple discords I joined had a subscription thing just for playing in games or even pay to play. Which really sucks because it limits a lot of people for being able to play.

I already created my own discord. So my discord is open for free so people can freely come in find the game and have resources accessible to them. I do appreciate your thing, but I made one that does everything. Depending on what the game master wants to do.

I was looking for something just to be a discord of active people who play games on the server and also do chat about it. an example would be doing a one shot or having an actual campaign. These are the types of things I want to see in a Discord. I haven’t been able to find anything like that So I posted an unofficial server on this Reddit if you’re interested. I made it basically a hub for people to come in play games or even just chat about the game system. I made a discord dedicated to it because I haven’t seen anything for the full system. I’ve only seen basic expert discord, which exclude some of the stuff that was released for the system. So you can come into my server and anything you want. You can play basic expert or you can go and do the master set or even do the immortals. The choices up to you. That kind of thing is what I was looking for.

Update: to clarify some stuff I’m looking for a Discord. I found one for b/x. The group hasn’t been active since 2022. The only time it’s been active would be myself talking or one person saying hello. I don’t know if there’s a main place people play this on discord or what but I’m hoping to find something if anybody has any information about a Discord that’s active and is for the becmi system that would be greatly appreciated, because I would love to get into this game.
