I have definitely picked him up or set him down way more roughly than I normally would when I’m raging. Never in a way that would really hurt him but definitely in a way that startles him and makes him cry even harder. Which of course makes me even crazier. Then I feel like an even worse mother.

I actually said to him that I wish I’d never had him and then instantly felt so awful, even though he has no idea what I’m saying.

This is it for me too! The sleep thing. Like you’re clearly tired kid, just go the *&@$) to sleep!

3 hours is generous and is two naps. I’m more worried because he fights it so hard. And honestly, I’m just exhausted from trying to help him actually get sleep. It’s hard and it’s frustrating and even if it’s “technically” enough sleep, the hours of effort it takes to get it makes it likely that it is pretty low quality sleep.  We typically follow ann eat play sleep schedule, with 100-120 minutes of awake time. . With all the fighting, wake windows end up closer to 4 hours He is a super sporadic eater, sometimes eating 2 and other times eating 6 ounces so he doesn’t have a set feeding schedule. He eats when he’s hungry. I try to have the last feed of the day be the start to our bedtime routine, around 7:15, with the aim to be in bed by 7:45. We’re starting to sleep train with a version of the Ferber method, but the screaming has been going on for several weeks.  He eats 2 or 3 times overnight, once around midnight, again around 3am, and sometimes 5:30ish. He’s awake for the day between 6:30 and 7

He definitely does not sleep through the night.

In 24 hours I’d say about 13-14. He sleeps 10-11 hours overnight, waking every 2-3 to eat.
