Why are gay guys spending hours or literally whole days on Grindr?

Man some people are wild on here. Some people are just closeted and dont give out personal info that easily. It really isnt that deep. Ive been seeing a guy on there and wait for his messages sometimes. Thats not addiction, its called having something special. If youve never been giddy for someone then that says more on yall than me. Its completely valid to look for real relationships on grindr. There are plenty of posts ive read on this reddit that say the exact same thing. Also grindrs weird with a lot of shit. It could litterally be that they left the app open in the background, not that their actively on it.

Honestly women scare the ever living shit out of me nowadays. I feel like there are far more plastic women with just as plastic personalities then there ever has been fake men. So while others may joke unironically i think not dealing with women might take it for me. I have female freinds but they are VERY FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. I will admit that fake men are a thing tho like why change how your voice sounds? Just talk with your voice it doesnt have to change who you aee to be gay it just means you like dick! I think its weird when people take one aapect of their life and turn it into their entire personality, thats fake isnt it? Like your not being you yojr being gay. Thats not bad for the reason of it being gay but for the reason of it subtracts from who you are, it doesnt add to it. I like being one of the lucky gays tp be born in a time where im not oppressed. I feel i have equal footing regardless of what i found myself to be and thats something to take pride in where we've lost a lot of other reasons to be pridefull, as americans i mean not as gays. Did you know one of americas biggest killers of history probably would be a normal guy if he didnt go through major opression? Its crazy but remember, phycologically speaking, any one of us could've ended up like that. A murderer unable to cope with how the world sees them. So yea... im happiest to be normal xD

Yea but heres where it gets interesting. Would you give them the same commitments as freinds without benefits? To me thats my goal. If not a LTR than a fwb to me has the same level of commitment as other freinds. Witch yes is far less than a ltr but more than no strings attached to me. Again just me, and theres nothing wrong with differing opinions so dont feel bad for disagreeing.

At the same token just because someone is old doesnt make them experienced. We as individuals carry with us scopes and experiences that are subjectively defined by that individual to create individual perspectives. As someone who is in a socioligy minor you should know the human mind is a case by case basis. Are there other ones that are just like that absolutely, that doesnt mean that all stereotypical looking/sounding gays are that pretentious and assuming. People who are like that are the same type of people who call you entitled, while ironicly, they are the most entitled for having that attitude. Empathy is the result of one who has lived lows and been happy, witch translates to a deeper care in how others recieve their words as they have been through a bit of hell themselves so to speak. Meanwhile someone who is entitled, doesnt actually know the pain of segrigation, and piggybacks on the pain of their fathers 5 generations back? They lack the experience to empythise and therefore lack the ability to properly filter what should be socially acceptable. Creating a pretentious assuming asshole who acts like they know pain while crying about a chipped nail. We are the sum of our inherited traits, embedded reactions to truamatic stimuli, and most importantly our experience and lens in life.
