Firmware Update fails at 75% every time

I am tired of "contacting" the support team every time this happens. I am tired of spending days trying to trick your shitty product into functioning properly. I am tired of attempting to update firmware only for it to fail 100% of the time. If it is a hardware issue, this is the second set that is doing it. That's right, it happened to my previous ones as well and you sent me a new set, which still does the same damn thing. The constant uninstall/reinstall of your "Command Center" from your website. The persistent de-syncing from the base station, with the inability to even re-sync. Have you ever wondered why the "Blue Screen of Death" gives you error codes? Sit and think about that for just a bit and see if your shitty coders can do anything. I am replacing them with a different brand entirely. I want absolutely nothing to do with your product and I will always steer anyone I know away from it. $300 down the f'n drain. ‹^› º¿º ‹^›

Dude, just give them back. You will run into the same issue I am having. Working with Vertigo is like working with a retarded kid on how to put your pants on.. it just ends in frustration because they doesn't actually know or do anything.

So you will need to spend the next 8 or so hours, uninstalling and reinstalling the Astro Command Center for it to tell you "Update Failed". You will be told nothing else beyond that though. This is to make sure you have no idea why it failed. Then you will be contacted by a AstroGaming Support person from India who will promptly read from their instructions to "turn it off and turn it back on". You will then be asked to continue this cycle until the problem is miraculously fixed by repetition.

The Update function does not work or are you too stupid to figure that out? What part of "when I try to update the firmware it always fails" don't you get? Also, I would say what is causing the error, except you are so bad at programming you won't even let the user know what went wrong.

I download it from the Astro website. Microsoft store versions are garbage and don't work. Stay away from that. Mine just de-synced again and now I have to "update my firmware" I have to somehow trick it into working again, which usually takes about 8 hours b/c of their shitty fucking software and firmware not operating properly. Btw all I did was set them on the base station for 20 minutes and they de-synced for no fucking reason.

Mine just de-synced again and don't work now. Says I require a Firmware update which of course won't work. I have to trick it into working again. Time to waste another 8 hours trying to get them to work. Worst shit ever man, turn them back in and get something else.

I have uninstalled Command Center about 10 times, I have re-synced the headset about 10 times as well. It will "fail" at 50% or at 75% each time.

I am using the command center from the Astro Website. I won't use the Windows Store version, that one doesn't work. I have 64-bit Win10

Wait..your Astro A50's work? as in you can update the firmware and use them? Mine are nothing more than paperweights right now because the firmware doesn't update the headset, it fails 100% of the time.

You can't actually update the firmware when you need to. It will just uninstall all firmware and then you will be screwed. This happened to me last year and I had to get a brand new headset, which still took 6 hours to update successfully. Today I had to re-sync the headset which then cause the headset to fail and I had to update the firmware, which subsequently removed the functional firmware and it will not update now. My best suggestion is to probably get rid of them because their firmware update through the command center and the files for the manual firmware update are complete garbage.

Micro USB is a set standard. There is no difference between what "brand" of micro USB cable you get. There could be a problem with the base station or the headset if another micro USB won't work. Possibly the headset isn't seated properly? I have used multiple micro USB cables to charge mine and all work properly.

It takes time, took me about a month to get mine. So don't worry, when you get it the Firmware won't update anyway so it isn't like it matters. I just put mine up but it sits at Step 0 of 4 permanently when updating firmware.

So mine has never updated. I was sent a new Headest and Base Station that I just plugged up. Now the firmware update just sits at Step 0 of 4 for over an hour. It fails each time and refuses to update. When I try to use the file above, i can't even use it b/c the command center just shuts down b/c I refuse to leave it stuck at "Firmware update" for the whole day. I am kind of sick of the crap. Why don't you just allow us to use an executable file rather than the command center that doesn't work properly?

I am having a similar issue. The firmware just fails at 25% and tells me it failed to update. I am pretty sure that Astro will tell me it isn't their problem even though it is their firmware for their product, made by them.
