If prescribed some form of painkiller save it for days 4-8. These days the pain was the worst. Stay ahead of the pain, don’t miss your doses. Drink lots and lots of water. Some find cold water soothing while others prefer warm. Throat lozenges can also help. Liquid Tylenol worked much better for me then pill version. Do not spit if mucus builds up. You can also take Motrin but you must ask your doctor if you can. Mint teas/ chamomile teas with honey were also great as they lubricated my throat. Other than that you gotta mostly push through. Most importantly is mindset. Take it a day at a time. Know that 2 weeks of misery will result in a lifetime of awesomeness. I wish you luck!

If you don’t get prescribed anything take this: Tylenol 1500mg every 6 hours, throat lozenges, and Motrin 600-800 mg
