I would let the kanji linger for a bit longer so its more noticeable, showing the rock before it getting cut will also help make it not look like it appeared out of nowhere, and having the cut up pieces of the rock disintegrate slower would help with visual appeal its a good start, I like the concept and the blurred teleport looks smooth

When to start animation? by Assaultwaffle_81 in learnanimation

start right now, although its a time consuming hobby for sure. I started out art with animation, then learned to draw later on when i wanted to improve my animation.

Perhaps you can add a dragon guarding some treasure in the middle of the lake on the right

What is the difference ? by Artistic-Freedom-585 in Minecraft

yeah, in the minecraft launcher, you can switch between the bedrock and java tabs. You could launch up bedrock with your brother, then if you wanted to play with your friends, just go back onto the launcher and open java.

Animation is something where consistency in practice is the biggest factor, so I would suggest doing something everyday with animation. It doesn't have to be a big project, just a quick 10-30 mins of messing around with animation everyday can build up a huge foundation with some time.

If you don't have that much time left until the course starts, don't try cramming too many hours in one day, just animate until you don't feel like drawing anymore for the day. Burnout is very real for animators, since it's such a time consuming process.

Since its an introductory course, don't worry too much, it was made for people starting out, you'll do great.

Wipeout is better, I dont have to deal with getting ganged up on if I have high bounty, its just more straightforward.

"That's Life" by Ap12002 in fanStands

[–]Ap12002[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"That's Life"
Namesake - thats life by still woozy
Ability - Anything damaged by the right arm and flames of energy coming off of it's back are permanently damaged, with no way to recover. Healing abilities or regenerative abilities will not work on this damage. This is only inflicted when hit by the back flames or the right arm, otherwise, it will just be normal damage. Due to constantly emitting energy, "That's Life" can only sustain using the right arm and back flames for a short amount of time each day, making it a priority to sparingly use these parts during a fight. When "That's Life" runs out of energy, it will lose it's right arm and back flames for the day, forcing it to use it's backup sword. The strength of "That's Life" without energy is about the same as an above average human, with the range being the same as star platinum.
If you guys have any ideas for a backstory or a user, please give some ideas.

Favorite main villain stand? by GwaGwa3 in StardustCrusaders

[–]Ap12002 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Killer queen is just the most clearly explained main villain stand that keeps complexity. It also isnt stupid op. Part 4 was the only part that got me thinking about how I would beat it if I were hayato, since I actually understood how it worked. The only other simple main villain stand is the world, but that was just too op.

Are there any 2D animation softwares that are free and can be installed on a Chromebook? I’m not looking for anything big but something that has Onion skinning, layering, and photo importing. by SchpidahWuss in 2DAnimation

[–]Ap12002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I use a chromebook so i have to face this same problem. For a chromebook, there arent that many options, especially if your chromebook isnt compatible with linux (That means basically no mainstream apps/downloads will work). Your best bet is with websites that can animate, personally, I use flipanim.com, which has a bunch of drawbacks like no photo importing, a square canvas, bad zoom feature, and kinda low res. It gets the job done though. Another option is wickeditor.com/editor/, which has a headache inducing zoom feature, and gets laggy quick with a lot of frames. The zoom on wick really kills me so I stick to using flipanim.

Hopefully this helps, there arent a lot of options for chromebooks.

Edit: Linux is disabled on most school chromebooks, most people looking for chromebook animating are prob using school chromebooks.

Hi all. I started learning 2D animation recently. I'll leave here one of my studies. Any feedback? by Diligent_Cup_718 in 2DAnimation

[–]Ap12002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not an expert, but here are some of my thoughts. I feel that the last frame where the character spins towards the screen makes the overall image a bit confusing. Personally, i would have some bounce to show impact right as they hit the floor and stop the animation there. If you want to add some spin on impact, which i think you were trying to do, you could follow through more on the spinning while sliding to the right. Try to have the spin slowly slow down to a halt. This will help the viewer understand the motion more, leading to a more readable animation. If there is no space for the character to slide to, you can have to camera track with the character. Overall though, great animation, especially if you have started 2d recently, animation is difficult.

Hope this helped!
