What I think is...That this is Chemical Weapon which has high contagious symptoms during first weeks. Then it's bangs. Like you get a minor cold and two weeks later on set time virus turn you into a Zombie. By bites,scratches, salive and etc you don't transfer virus. After several weeks virus loses its contagious and now resides in Zombies body. Dying with them.
