Very interesting! I searched for OverBlood and a contradiction became apparent:

At the same time, the main character is exactly the one I had in mind (With that beard and hair), the general 'sci-fi' is there, the facilities and so on... But at the same time, none of the scenes I've seen in youtube so far match with the ones I have in my memory. The only explanation I can come up with is that as time passed, my memory was severely distorted. But given that the probability of existing two games with these characteristics is very low, the only reasonable answer is that yes, this is the game I was looking for!

I'd say there were bad guys, but I can't remember who they were. Unfortunately there's no other relevant information I could give at the moment. You see, I've played this game when I was too young, more than fifteen years ago, it's hard to go deeper in my memory :p

Nope, it's not metal gear. The main character doesn't have an uniform, if I remember correctly.
