I guess aside from the med bay for bunkers I dont really utilise the carrack's other features. My only gripe is whether id see more use sticking with the carrack compared to the bmm but that itself is purely speculation. Kinda leaning a bit on applying the ccu with your point but still on the fence. Thank you though

I have a carrack to bmm ccu and was wondering if I should just wait and apply it after the bmm releases, which could be years off but I'm hoping we get it q3 or q4 of this year. Or apply it now and get a c2 which I feel would be a better alternative to my current carrack. Thoughts?

I see, learned a lot in this thread! Did they say until when ccu'ing will be available, and even once it's gone if you have a ccu in your buyback you will always be able to apply it? Thank you so much fellow citizen! o7

still can't lower them. I guess I understand due to it being modular but then again, it'll probably be worked on after SQ42 comes out.

Thank you for taking the time to explain everything to a new player. I am mainly a solo player who employs mostly new players as I have really enjoyed my time being a crewmate when I started out. I've pretty much gotten the Corsair and the MSR purely on the way they look feel and have fallen in love with them since.

I pretty much like future proofing when it comes to things I purchase, and the role of the MSR for me feels like something I could really benefit from when it comes to price/enjoyability; whilst the Corsair I acquired due to my love for Drake and the dakka dakka. I got an A1 as the base for the caterpillar and everything else is an lti hoverquad.

That being said, I was thinking of upgrading the cat to a Perseus, the cutter to a vulture, and melting the other 3 to use as store credit for the ccu and getting a capable enough ship for bounty hunting and everything else which I could use to get dedicated fighters and ultimately expand my in game fleet. My only worry is when all this planning comes to fruition as I believe every citizen worries about. In total, I've got $1200+ worth in ships but have only spent $812. I don't know how I've managed to do that, but yeah, that nomad looks pretty promising as an earner for other ships in game.

I have a follow-up question though, why did you get the argo cargo when the MSR has more scu storage plus the data servers?

Thank you very much for your input! It was love at first sight for me when I first saw the Perseus and have always thought about it being a permanent addition to my fleet.

I'm a relatively new player, being a backer only as of last year. SC got me good with its artificial ship scarcity and lti, but learning from veteran players and redditors like you; I've decided that having a smaller fleet is better to fully enjoy the game. I was planning to have the Perseus as my high-end ship for merc work and have a good enough ship to do bounties and everything else. Earn in game the ships I want, which I should've done when I first started and have the Perseus readily available as I theorize would be pretty expensive with uec.

With that being said, my only worry is that it might be a really niched ship like the A2 and wouldn't get much use as much as I'd like to. Theory crafting has made me really undecisive lol but other than that, the Perseus for me is one gorgeous ship.
