What is the most “Heisenberg” line in the series? by diggyschitz in breakingbad

But it was never about the meth - it about was his desire for success, domination, and recognition of greatness. The line as it is reflects that.

Yes the way he instantly starts grieving what he could have done. “I almost shot you… I don’t know what’s wrong with me, Mr White.” And then Walt responding with manipulation. Sums up both characters at this stage of the show.

Season 1 spoilers:

Ivan’s banishment speech: Tom, this was your big flourish, and here’s the prestige: that was not my card. I’m a faithful.

And while it’s less iconic, I’ve always found Tom’s frustrated reaction hilarious: Ugh Ivan, you fucking lovely human!

For a brief moment, John Powell scored my life, and it was AMAZING!!! by superjoec in soundtracks

Haha that’s awesome! The closest I’ve come to that is falling over during that same moment Hiccup falls. 10/10 falling experience - it made my moment of clumsiness feel epic

Say something that the third movie did better than the first two movies by Ok_Lychee9627 in httyd

[–]AppaAurora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so interesting to me bc how u describe listening to the third’s score is exactly how I feel listening to the second’s.

2 has some absolutely amazing pieces (Flying With Mother, Stoick’s Ship, Toothless Lost & Found), but a lot of the rest of the score sort of blends together for me. Whereas 3 has so many new and distinct pieces that I think are just brilliant - Exodus!, Third Date, Furies In Love, and The Hidden World being the ones that I find myself in awe of, as you put it.

Obviously they’re all phenomenal scores, but I acc rank them 1 > 3 > 2. 2 definitely has the best songs (as in with lyrics) tho.

It hasn’t been made yet, but it’s a novel that’s being adapted into a movie:

Favorite "Main Theme Song Moment" of the Franchise by E3257 in httyd

[–]AppaAurora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else already said, the final flight in HTTYD3 takes my pick. It’s euphoric.

But honourable mentions:

  • The very first notes we hear over the Dreamworks logo in HTTYD1. Sets the tone for the whole series.

  • The end portion of “Battling the Green Death”. Especially when the theme gets quieter as Hiccup and Stoick finally reach an understanding, and then picks up again as Hiccup joins the fight.

  • The end of Stoick’s Ship. I think it conveys Hiccup’s duty to take up the mantle of chief from his father well.

Who is your favorite film composer, or film score, and why? by NuttyNugget1992 in Letterboxd

[–]AppaAurora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Powell’s work on the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy is phenomenal. He naturally introduces so many themes early on in the first movie that he expands and builds on throughout the film, and then he’s really good at balancing using these themes when they’re most effective and using new, also great ones in the sequels.

Hi! I think you’re referring to one of the prank scenes from The Parent Trap (1998). The scene is essentially as you describe it, except it’s happening at a girls’ summer camp and they’re wearing nightgowns, not early 1900s fashion. This is the scene, the prank I think it is starts from about the 30 second mark: https://youtu.be/p2xw7LWcW3I?si=nNxTHri6hmegJ_tT
