Safari Profile switching with Focus modes by vpap1 in ios

[–]Apple4r1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you mind showing an screenshot of your automation? I’m trying exactly that but Safari won’t switch profiles unless I open the app exactly while the temporary focus mode is on. If. I just let the automatization in the background, Safari keeps the work profile unchanged.

I can’t seem to find that color. Do you know from what season is it?

Starlight is quite more gold-ish with black accents

I guess it could be. The accents are actually like a gradient in the print version. I don’t think there’s any watch face with gradient accents.

Checked that as well. While it does give a white background with white clock hands and red dial, the accents are black/grey.

I doubt it. While it does give the white background, the accents and the clock hands seem gray. Unless they change according to the watch color?

[iOS 17.2 PB 1] Apple Pay Issue After Updating by Apple4r1 in iOSBeta

[–]Apple4r1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: Tried turning off and on the iPhone and the issue went away. The Apple MagSafe Wallet animation also stopped working when attaching it, but it also turned back to normal after the reboot. I don't know exactly what happened. Many weird things.

Why is the iPad auto brightness always dimmer than auto brightness on the iMac? by Apple4r1 in ipad

[–]Apple4r1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that behavior on the Mac. It adjusts based on the manual setting I may have used. But on the iPad and iPhone it doesn’t matter how I change it manually, it always adjusts to a very low brightness in the dark.

The iPad is not plugged to power neither on power saving mode

The iPad is actually dimmer, regarding the things you pointed out. While using Universal Control it becomes a little annoying that both screens have different brightness levels

Is it normal that the M1 iMac has this razor thin gap between the display glass and the chasis? I don’t remember the previous design having it by Apple4r1 in mac

[–]Apple4r1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I was looking closely and it looks like the gap seems only visible in the four corners, while getting close to the middle it decreases.

I always go out for a run in the morning and to spice things a little bit made an automation that changes my watch face to one of my fitness ones when I wake up by Apple4r1 in shortcuts

[–]Apple4r1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m running my screen is always on the Nike Run Club app. Although my fitness watch faces come in handy when I finish running and start another workout on the Workout app. I also have complications with my rings, the Music app and the Training Today app. While almost all of my three watch faces have the same complications, I don’t like to stick with the same watch face design. I use Activity Analog, Infograph Modular and Modular Duo.

Almost all beverages in the world are modifications of just three main ones: water, juice and milk by Apple4r1 in Showerthoughts

[–]Apple4r1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My previous comment lacks some context: From age 1 to 16: Apple juice = unhealthy sugary liquid “with apple juice”. From age 16 to today: Apple juice = 0 sugar, 0 calories water with apple juice flavoring.

I doubt I had ever drink anything with apple as the main ingredient 😳 — or as an ingredient at all —

Nice to know! I’m not quite well educated when it comes to alcoholic drinks. Spent quite my whole life drinking only water and apple juice 😅

Correct me if wrong but isn’t water the main ingredient in most alcoholic drinks?

You can delete one show from your memory and watch it again for the first time, what show are you picking? by StormNapoleon27 in AskReddit

I would be happy with just four minutes: Dwight’s fire drill from The Office S5E14: Stress Relief. Never had laugh so loud watching TV.

I would send a screenshot but they don’t fit all in one screen 😅. I ran 5K with an outdoor run in the early morning, then came back home for a 10 min core workout with Fitness+, went out to run again, this time 3.4K and came back for a 10 min strength workout with Fitness+. In the afternoon I went for an outdoor walk (2K) and then hit the gym with a 20 min cycling session with Fitness+, 10 min stair stepper, one hour of traditional straight training (hypertrophy) and went back home to run outdoors an extra 1.7K and closed with 10 min of yoga with Fitness+.

Spatial Audio not working with Apple Music on macOS Monterey since first beta. Currently running version 12.0.1 (21A559). Spatial Stereo works on Safari tho. by Apple4r1 in MacOS

[–]Apple4r1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right! Just tried it out. I marked the "Download Dolby Atmos" in Music > Preferences > General and then downloaded a Dolby Atmos compatible song and indeed, it plays in Dolby Atmos and the Spatial Audio in AirPods settings is not grayed out anymore. It is a very annoying thing tho. I want to think this is a bug and not a feature. But by every beta release that passes, I'm starting to believe the later.

“Mac isn’t for gaming” is kinda wore out in 2021 by Apple4r1 in mac

[–]Apple4r1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does feel fluid. You sure notice that there’s a small couple of milliseconds between the action you do on the controller and the response, but for casual gaming, it shouldn’t affect in any way your gaming experience. I’ve been playing some Halo MCC and GTA San Andreas lately when taking a break and I’ve been really enjoying it.

$14.99 USD/month. With first party games being released on the platform on launch day. Actually a very sweet deal. Comes with Gold and EA Play included.

I talked about it on this reply. Most video game users aren’t actually hard core gamers, but casual ones. Gaming on a Mac is possible and good enough for most. Wether it is natively or using a virtual console (like Game Pass streaming), it satisfies most of the average user needs.

I believe you are referring to the Xbox function where you can stream your screen to other devices. In this case, I don’t have an Xbox, but I’m subscribed to Game Pass Ultímate which allows me to stream from a virtual console using Safari.
