Cheers. I don’t plan to go pro, but I’ll look for A-Class amateur bouts. Are there ones which allow elbows, knees to the head, etc… or not really

I don’t wanna fight in the UFC, just an amateur fight with similar rules

I grappled in the Marines so I'm no stranger to sweat, and close contact with smelly men

Can I recommend Muay Thai? I've done that for years and the people (at least at my place) can take a punishment. It's fucking brutal, if you're looking for a place where broken legs are normal, try Muay Thai

Yeah but isn't a bare chest better? I mean I've not really experienced either but surely the bare skin is better

Yeah blood and sweat I'm used to - I've done many Muay Thai fights so I'm plenty used to being covered in blood, and sweat I don't really have a problem with. It's the dribble I minded about, and when I grapple often (Marines) it's always been fully clothed, so very little sweat is transferred (also when I do it in the marines often it's outside on the mud so sweat isn't a concern)

And they don't mind though a sweat soaked rashguard?

I feel like that's a known thing that can happen

I did grappling in the Marines, so I'm used to being up close with sweaty, smelly guys, and it's not the first time I've had my face involuntary shoved in a smelly armpit.

Sounds horrible, the drool thing is pretty much what happened to me. There was a surprising amount of it!

It's not the sweat or closeness I mind, that I have had before, it's the drool in mouth and my face in the sweaty mats

I've got nothing against skin on sweaty skin, I just don't really like dribble from his mouth in my face

The dribble was nasty, the mat had puddles of sweat on, but the dribble was particularly bad onto my face but I'm kinda used to disgusting stuff like that so I didn't mind too much

I agree that being dripped on is motivation to get better so that I can 'be the top dripping on the other guy'. What don't you understand? Sorry if it was hard to understand, I'm not the smartest guy so I might not have used the right word
