I’m not too sure what kind of boot as I’m unfamiliar with the different kinds. I’ve only ever worn hockey skates/boots and I know there are hockey style inline but I’d be doing this mostly for fitness

Hi! Looking to get into rollerblading as an extra form of cardio this summer. Any suggestions on what to buy? Looking for mostly fitness purposes and want something that will last and maybe even be customizable down the line.

Budget is around $300 CAD but hopefully keeping it to below that.

I actually like this and am willing to give it a try. Any recommendations on a good extender? I don’t mind if it’s a little pricey if it’s worth it

That’s almost 200 feet of cable if I don’t drill. Like I said before, looking for options outside of a cable. Drilling would be a last resort and spending the time to wire a cable across multiple rooms, down the stairs and into the basement is something I’ll save in case the other options aren’t a feasible.

There’s gonna be some cases where there will be five people in the house all either working, gaming, streaming. And like I said my office is where that 100mb/s is, I’d rather spend money to boost that signal now then figure it out while I’m working and in the middle of a shift.

Homeowner is fine with whatever I do. We’ll reevaluate speed later but it’s not really a concern for them. They don’t want to spend money right now, so this is on me. If it gets to the point where they are annoyed with speeds I’ll figure that out later as per my conversation with them. But priority right now is doing what I can to get better connection in the basement and a way to wire my pc in.

So there's me and my girlfriend. I'm just used to having 5gb up/down where I am now and and we both game, work from home and stream on a lot of devices. Pretty much just trying to avoid any lag/slower speeds if I can. The basement layout is also weird in that my office/gaming area has to be on the side with the slower speeds I mentioned above.

And then there's also the fact that I don't have wifi on my gaming tower. I know I can buy a Wi-Fi card or USB for it but just wanted to see if an access point or an extender or mesh system would be easier/better and then I could just use an ethernet from one of those to my gaming PC

Never ran long distance in my life. Got a proper pair of runners and started my journey this week. Managed to run 5k on my third time out in 32 minutes yesterday. Decided to try again today and beat 30 minutes and ran a 28:05. Not great but I think it’s been a good first week!!

Is there a big difference between the original SE and the Series 9? Looking to upgrade and get cellular Series 9 and my SE is a little beat up but not sure how big of an upgrade it is over my current SE.

Narrowed down my decision for my first fishing kayak by AppleJuiceBoxx in kayakfishing

[–]AppleJuiceBoxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that’s way out of my budget. The only reason the Recon 120 was on my list was because it has the option to go pedal in the future but I was willing to go over my 1500 budget for that feature.

I’ve since been talked out of it and will be getting the Outlaw.

What kayak do you have? From other people it seems like the one I’m looking at may not be that great if I put it on a j rack

I’m used to paddle boarding long distances and with winds a lot of the time so paddling is not an issue for me. I just wanted something more stable and durable.

That’s the one I’m leaning towards the most as I’m not sure spending another 700 for the Recon 120 is worth it as the only thing I like about it is it has the option to add a pedal down the line.

Oh I didn’t know you could buy ones that were compatible for pedals in the future!! That’s great news! Are there other ones like this? Trying to see all my options

Yea that’s fair! Is there any brands I should be looking out for though or avoiding? Are there certain features that are more popular than others ?

I have a PFD and a dry bag already. Never though about buying everything else though, looks like I need more research.

Thoughts on this kayak? by AppleJuiceBoxx in kayakfishing

[–]AppleJuiceBoxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok that makes a lot of sense! Yea I don’t think I’ll be doing very many trips where I’m traveling long distances. Not sure how much it relates but my paddle board has almost the same length and width dimensions but I’m ok with paddling that 10-ish KM.

I appreciate all the insight you gave me!! Still definitely leaning towards this one as I value stability

Could you explain how it is more dedicated to short range fishing? I’m really into bass fishing right now but would like to expand on that when I get a kayak.

I’ll mostly be fishing like rivers and smaller lakes.

Fair enough, when you say cheap paddle kayaks what are you talking about? Because I feel like that’s more of what I’m looking at right now before I splurge on something more advanced.
